I know he didn't have anything to show for it--but I like Domingo's activity/energy he brings. He just needs a game where he hits some shots--and get confidence up. I expect him to play a larger role then Smith Rivera by end of season and if Hoyas are to peak in March. +1. DSR may have a nice shot, but I have been unimpressed with the rest of his game thus far. Good thing it's still early. I hope the light comes on for Domingo. We will need more bench than we have right now.

Text from Mrs Nodak after my 6th grade son's basketball game this morning: "30-22 eagles win. Maybe they should play the hoyas? "

He can reach the highest point if he were to jump. In other words, if i could pick one of our guys to touch the top of the backboard id probably take him. It's not enthusiasm, it's just an observation based on watching everyone. And thats observation from different avenues (Yates, Kenner, etc.), not just game observations. You can often learn more about a player's abilities outside of an official game, believe it or not. If I told a casual observer that Jabril has a 44 inch vert would they believe me? probably not. Just because he doesnt play that way doesnt mean its not true. Mikael has long arms and good enough lift. Who would be your candidate of players who've played? I think Bolden (and maybe Hayes because of his length) might be able to do better, but I have not seen much of them since they've gotten to the hilltop. Not really surprising at all. Jabril has consistently been our best finisher and dribble penetration guard since Chris Wright left.

Since hockey is dead this season, this game should have gone to a third period!

the SEC is a football conference that also has other sports. If it was a football match up, who in the BE could play with the SEC?

Why must the "Marquee" out of conference opponents we beat go on to embarrass themselves? Tennessee picking up where they left off down 21-10 with 4 minutes left in the first half.
EDIT:
Down 25-16 at the half.

Tennessee Ends up putting up 2 more points against virginia than they did against us. Lose 46-38.

Yeah, who would have thought TN, Texas and UCLA would all suck. And, Texas and UCLA play each other soon, so there will be more national TV validation of their awfulness. On the other hand, Florida looks like one of the top 3 teams in the country for sure. Are we sure we can't finish that game someday...

We are now the 4th best defensive team on Ken Pom's ratings, a great achievement so far. Our offense on Ken Pom is 101st (48th worst of the top 50 teams), but that should improve over the next four games.
