Don't take this the wrong way but how doesn't it count just because we think we "know" Greg is going to break out? The thread wasn't called "Surprise Breakout Player This Year". Greg is losing votes.

I think you've got it wrong. Bolden won't play this year and isn't in the equation. But we still have 10. 1. Hopkins 2. Moses 3. Lubick 4. Otto 5. Whit 6. Trawick 7. Domingo 8. DSR 9. Starks 10. ? 10 may go to BJ Hayes. But then again he may be a Hibbert like project who isn't ready this year. Or it may go to Bowen. Domingo should see alot of time. I don't think he would've come out of high school a year early if he wasn't going to get PT here. He's someone that could've stayed in high school and improved his ranking (it already would've jumped based on his USA team play) instead of sitting on the bench at Georgetown. What's a lot of time? Domingo is a 3 that could possibly play 2. Our best player plays the 3/4 and our second best plays the 2/3. Our top freshman plays the 2. We had two good returning guards everyone expects to get time. To get to 10 in your rotation, you are playing 3! centers plus Nate, so Otto can't all his time at PF. Where is all this time coming from? Who is Domingo beating out? Understanding that we don't run one of those systems with 10 people getting 20 minutes, where is all this time coming from. Every year people spawn these plans of 10-man shuttle rotations, with the 10th guy getting fifteen minutes. And it never, ever happens. (And for good reason). Against BE opponents, Domingo is likely to get Vee minutes, from what I can see, unless (a) no one else can shoot or (b) players like DSR and Jabril aren't as good as I think they are. Someone isn't going to get big minutes.

Fortunately for us it's a good problem to have. I think both DSR and Domingo are going to get buckets so there will be a time crunch someone but I'm not complaining

Markel. If we are to have a great year it has to be Markel. He is the only player on our roster capable of averaging similiar points as Otto. Greg is good for about 12pts avg and Jabril is probably around 8pts. Kel and Otto can approach 20pt averages with the skill sets that they possess. We all expect Otto to do his thang this year but Kel is in question................

Reviving an older thread.... who's going to be the better player by year end? Otto or Greg? Discuss.

Who knows? In 3 months? If Greg's 3 ball starts dropping at a better rate Greg could easily make a better statistical impact with points, boards, and steals. He's also the better defender and creator.

I think Greg has made a bigger impact so far this year. I'm not sure we have to talk about this as a "3 months from now" proposition.

I think Greg has made a bigger impact so far this year. I'm not sure we have to talk about this as a "3 months from now" proposition. Well, Otto didn't play in the Liberty game, got only 10 possessions against Duquesne, and Greg never comes off the court, so I agree that Greg has had a bigger impact thus far this year. But Otto, like Greg has played well thus far. Statistically, edge to Otto. I'm not complaining about either, but both can play better.
