I'm pretty sure the NIT works on an equal distribution system. Everyone who makes it past the first round gets the same amount, everyone who makes to the semis gets the same etc etc Communists!!!!

I am sending an "honorary Georgetown alumnus" to the game in my stead. He just about lived with my roommates and I back in Georgetown, but he graduated from the Naval Academy. He reports that he will be wearing his Sweetney jersey and face paint. In fact, back in the Sweet 16 run in 2001, he was wearing that Jersey at a DC bar (I was with him), and he made it onto Channel 8 news. He also made sure to bad mouth Gary Williams and Maryland when he was on the air. Brings a tear to my eye... He just purchased two tickets. I hope you will welcome him!

Can someone please tape this game or record it to a DVD somehow? (DVD Preferrably) I'd be happy to cover all costs plus a little extra for it, I really need this game footage.

This is incredible news. I'm really happy for you current students and locals. I definitely hope you will be bringing the house down next Tuesday.
And by the way, as to the GU-Columbia game, I think it's Hayward Dotson (not Haywood), but I could be wrong. I, too was at that game. The only games better than that one during my 4 years were the LSU NIT game, and the win over Maryland the following season.

I don't really know how tivos work, but if what you're saying is that you can get the video file of the game onto a PC, then you should just upload said file to an ftp site (or something of that nature) and have GUHoya007 download it from there and burn it himself. If he also does not have a burner, then I have access to one at work and would be happy to do it.

I have no idea what you just said, but I will gladly be walked through the process once I get the game onto my PC....
PS. Yeah, if you have TiVo, you can rip anything off of it onto any PC on your network...and viceversa. For example, all your music and that of your roommates is on the TiVo and you can download any show or movie from the TiVo and watch it on your laptop or PC...very good for business travel and long flights...

the new TIVO's are basically linux boxes with large harddrives without the the same user i/o. You can easily "hack" (although it's not really hacking) into them and trasfer the files, although I think with the newer boxers you have to convert the files to something else because they are compressed into some odd files.

007- I will also record the game on VHS, then transfer it via my digital camcorder to the computer and, after editing out the commercials to make it fit on a DVD, then burn it onto a DVD. Give me your address offline and I'll send it to you - assuming I'm successful.

Am I dreaming? ;D Our "high school gym" McDonough is pretty embarrassing for a major DI program, so I wonder what they say about it on the air.
