deacon, who's the best guard in the area regardless of class? Before this summer, I would've said Dion Wiley but apparently, Peters has made the leap and is looking more and more like a Top 40 player in 2013. I haven't seen him yet this summer, so I can't say, but it's not surprising because the kid can flat out ball.

Booth has game, plays more like a combo guard than a true point but has excellent court-vision, is a good passer and ballhandler, can defend and score when you need him to. I know Georgetown is really on him and they should be. However, if I had a choice, I'd still take Wiley right now.

Peters isn't top 40, and isn't better than any of those three kids.

He's not a true 1. He reminds me a lot of kids like Mo Creek or Percy Woods (Crossland).

I haven't seen him yet this summer but from people I trust, he's been fantastic, especially at the NBAPA camp where he reportedly outplayed a lot of more heralded players.

That's good enough for me Deacon... I'm still gonna be mad if Hart ends up somewhere else though... Especially Marquette

Roddy Peters (DC Assault 17s) – Did not get a full game look at Peters, but the stretches that we watched showed true dominance. Peters scores with ease over and around defenders. Does it all with the ball in his hands. He can post-up with his size and strength. He plays with energy on both sides of the ball and has shown the ability to impact a game as much defensively as with his scoring. He attacks the basket with reckless abandon and seems to take a pounding that would be hard to get up from. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0719/2012-ny2la-under-armour-summer-jam-recap-part-i/3 was there

Peters Continues His July Breakout 2013 DC Assault point guard Roddy Peters entered the month of July with offers from Temple, Tennessee and Rutgers. That then followed with a huge performance at the Reebok Breakout Challenge, which accumulated in new offers from Maryland, Georgetown, Memphis, Illinois and UCLA. Peters is a rare breed of big, quick guards who can push the ball up the court in transition with accurate passes. As his recruitment continues to expand with new offers in the month of July, he may end up staying home when all is said and done. This is because of his recent offer from Maryland and his relationship with recently reclassified Maryland pledge Damonte Dodd , who is making a strong push for his friend, Peters, to play for Mark Turgeon's squad. Dodd - who is now a member of the class of 2013 and playing summer ball with DC Assault - is making the push by recruiting the Harrison Twins and Peters as a perennial powerhouse four-man class in the ACC. Never the less, Peters is completely undecided. The No. 100 player in the Rivals150 caught the attention of Baylor, Texas and others eying from the stands tonight. There is no doubt that his big month is far from over rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1386852

He wants to go to MD but waiting on the Harrison brothers commitment. Actually, Peters would be open to playing with the Harrison twins at MD. Says playing time isn't an issue and always wanted to play on a great team.
