No good if true. Need to get Dozier. Any idea of any other targets? If we strike out, I guess we wait til the spring for a late bloomer.

As in leads? No longer in the mix? Or that he committed?? Michael Bohlin @mbohlin247 5m '15 four-star PG Bryant Crawford commits to the Wake Forest Demon Deaons. 247sports.com/Bolt/Bryant-Crawford-commits-to-Wake-Forest-31380906 … via @247sports
It's too bad but the kid didn't see G'town as an appealing choice.. Can't be mad the staff gave it a good run.. This recruitment reminded me a lot of the Noah Dickerson recruitment..

Was pretty clear he didn't want to come here at all costs. Oh well. Is what it is. All aboard the Dozier hope train.

Funny. My buddy at Wake was telling me this morning that Danny Manning had "swung and missed" at every recruit for 2015. There was a pretty negative vibe about the state of the program. He indicated they were praying for Tacko , of all people and they did not expect Crawford. Oh well. The world of recruiting.

I mean what a bad decision. Wake has been so bad for so long now. Maybe Manning turns it around eventually but it will be difficult with the programs that have even added to the ACC. And Crawford absolutely needs good players around him to be good, and Wake doesn't have that. He just killed any chance he had at a pro career.

Not sure about that first of all, kid did not want to stay local. some kids want to get away from where they went to high school four years before picking their college. if it's a similar caliber of school when u get ur college acceptance letters, you pick according to your preference. as you said, wake has not been good, but it's not like they lack of tradition. they have produced the league's greatest PF of all time in duncan, plus the current best PG in the game in CP. Not to mention Teague is also in the league and he is not doing too bad. Wake is also in ACC - which means it gets more media exposure - def. a lot more than what we are currently getting in sort of relegated BE. sure, there is a chance that they are going to be a doormat in the conference for years to come, but many experts believe that Manning has every tool to turn this program around - he is a young coach with talent and will continue to recruit well. as much as we like to say that georgetown is a big man school and all the best bigs should come to us - with the current best PG being from Wake and that guy comes routinely to wake forest to train them, i'd say why not to this kid. best of luck to him - did not really want him here like most of you guys here anyway. just get dozier and this conversation is over.

I would also add that top 150 point guards rarely have any chance at sniffing the league. He has as much a shot there as he did at Gtown and that shouldn't be what his decision is about. He can get a good education and try something other than DC for a change. Seems like a reasonable decision.

Scratching my head a bit, like others. Don't know enough to say whether he would have been a great addition to our program, but he obviously did not want to come here despite the staff's best efforts (if he wasn't committing after the groundbreaking and meeting AI and all the other GU stars, then he was never coming).
Not that Wake is a bad school or program, but why go to a second or third tier ACC school? Don't know why he did not want to be a Hoya. but if he didn't want to be here, we sure as hell should be relieved that he did not come.

Normal for kids to want to get away from home for college. Wake is an interesting opportunity with a new coach with a good resume and excellent academics. Also hard to argue that the ACC is not superior right now to the Big East, with better national exposure and a higher level of competition. Hopefully that changes. Time to move on. Do not think that point guard is critical right now given that next year will still have DSR, Tre and Peak. It does become a must for 2016 though.

Unless...DSR leaves after this year..and Peak turns out not to be able to play the point. In high school he was more of a 2 or 3, wasn't he?
