Great signing. This kid was who I wanted the most in the 2013 class. Realistic options. With Rysheed as a close second................Welcome to the Hilltop Stephen...............

Domingo was/is in Vegas for the Adidas Nation tournament. I told my buddy to look out for him. They chatted for a while and this was his take away:
"Stephen Domingo, great kid. Seriously really nice guy. Gtown should be all over him."
Not much intel and probably not surprising but good to hear.

His final four included Stanford and Harvard. Clearly a good student and by all accounts a great kid. He will fit right in.

Regardless of the negative chatter about this pick-up(and believe me it's out there) , I'm excited to have gotten a top 30 kid with a great head on his shoulder. It's funny to see people put a kid down before he even lands on the Hilltop and should only make these prospects go harder. If Coach feels he can help the program , I trust him. The kid is a lights out shooter and I'm sure he knows what he has to work on to compete on the next level. I welcome Stephen with open arms and I'm happy he chose the HOYAS!

Excited to get another shooter--can he make the entry pass? Be nice to have a guy that can play a two man game on the wing (we had Nate as the guy making the entry pass from the wing way too often) with whichever of our bigs can draw the double team.
Anyone know how his defense is? And how about his commitment to defense? There are some comparisons out there to Austin Freeman...

From Telep: "Eight kids from Domingo's St. Ignatius HS are going to Georgetown this year. Domingo arrives in fall of 2013." From the other thread, but this is important to me - I really like it when we are able to recruit top kids who are coming from schools that we know are preparing kids for Georgetown. I am not saying those are the only players GU should recruit, but when there are Top 50-100 guys from those traditional feeder schools, GU should be all over them. Student-athletes like Starks, Hollis, Lubick and now Domingo (and of course Hibbert going further back). I hope we don't have to relive watching the likes of Troy Murphy torching Georgetown in front of 15 of his Delbarton class mates at GU ever again.
