Excited to get another shooter--can he make the entry pass? Be nice to have a guy that can play a two man game on the wing (we had Nate as the guy making the entry pass from the wing way too often) with whichever of our bigs can draw the double team. Anyone know how his defense is? And how about his commitment to defense? There are some comparisons out there to Austin Freeman... And it took all of 67 minutes for Debbie Downer to join in.

Great get for the Hoyas and welcome to the Hilltop Mr Domingo. Top 30 talent, great shooter and a terrific student. Really great to see kids like this sign with Georgetown and always enjoy watching shooters do their thing in our offense.

Yeah, sorry to be that guy (and I'll cop to phrasing it poorly). Balla's over at his site ragging on Domingo, and I was hoping one of the posters here that follow recruiting would have some comments on his defense. I haven't read anything about it either way aside from that site. Don't think we need him to be a Whittington like stopper, but I'd like to hear about his game when we don't have the ball. Can he stay in front of shooting guards? And I am excited for Domingo on the wing making entry passes into whichever post guy establishes himself. Sounds like he could put up Hollis/JWall type shooting percentages from behind the arc, something we sorely need.

There have been some questions about his D, and he knows that. But he made the following comments on signing: While Domingo sees the offense as a fit, it's the Hoyas defensive principles and dedication that really have him excited. "For years Georgetown has prided themselves on their defense," said Domingo. "That's the next big step for my game and I'm really looking forward to going there and being a better offensive player but most importantly improving defensively."

For the record , Whittington wasn't tagged as being a defensive stopper coming out of H.S school. He focused on that part of his game and earned minutes.

I'll take a 6'7 Jonathon Wallace. Hoya Saxa, Stephen! Especially b/c we'll have 2-3 big guys that can erase any problems / issues he might have defensively ;D

To be fair to the kid, unless you're Patrick or Zo or Anthony Davis or Nerlens Noel, no high school kid is ever going to have his defensive skills praised.

Fantastic--was hoping we would land this kid, but I didn't expect it to happen yet!! This was definitely a nice surprise as I got in to check the site today. It will be interesting where we go from here--any other signings will need to wait for the "scholarship situation to work itself out", correct? Regardless--WELCOME STEPHEN DOMINGO!!!

Domingo chose Georgetown, in part, because of his relationship with Georgetown Head Coach John Thompson, Assistant Coach Michael Brennan and the rest of the staff.
Hopefully folks will stop ragging on the guy now..
