That WVU game should put an end to the morons from WV who were acting like a national tragedy took place with Crowder getting MVP of Big East over Kevin Jones. Jones wanted no part of the game when it got tight and they needed him-he stood/watched/ran from ball 3 times and then decided to hoist stupid 3's late. A truly gutless performance when it mattered and it's not first time-he's been MIA in all of the close losses--and Crowder's team won with 4 guys missing a half in Morgantown. Huggins and the hillibillies can go get fitted for some more hideous Butterscotch suits and watch Pittsnogle film clips. Enjoy the Big XII lol +1 to all of this. God I hate WVU, nearly as much as Cuse

Continuing on my hatred for the awful announcing that is Doris Burke.
How the hell do you mention the issue of "talking with Coach K and he said there are too many CHARGES in CBB" and NOT comment about Duke's reliance on that as their staple of defense? Take away charge call--and Duke loses 2 of their 4 National Titles and several of their Final 4 appearances. That's my problem with today's announcers-you have an avenue to show you have "guts" and are honest and instead a complete copout.

If you want to complain about Doris Burke, my favorite part of her announcing this game was at the very beginning. Sims had just turned it over by passing it late to a cutting Thompson and threw it right to Pitt. She says " Wow, Woodall was wide open if Patterson had seen him earlier it would have been an open layup, instead forced a turnover." To get TWO players names complete wrong like that is just bad. I lost count of how many times Dave Pasch reminded us that Syracuse has only lost one game, and it was without Fab Melo today. He made McDonough seem downright subtle. I'm sure he'll be a joy to listen to tomorrow!

Pasch made me laugh though when Burke wrongfully stated how vital Markel Starks has been and you could see it last year in practice and he blew her off and didn't even know who she was talking about-mentioning a completely different player--and he was right despite not trying to be.
It's amateur hour when those 2 are on the mic. Lucky I'm not at Garden, be too tempted to sprint on court and take a flagrant foul when she's doing this goofball oncourt demonstrations at the half and end it with pretending I lost my contact and begging Lorry Michel to come spend 45 minutes helping me put it back in as tribute to her. God Bless Lorry btw--GREAT SEEING HER by Pops/Jeff!

Agreed. Enjoy the Alamodome, or wherever the heck they play your meaningless new tournament. Actually, they usually play it in Kansas City, at the Sprint Center. While the BE Tourney is the undisputed #1 for best conference tournaments, the Big 12 in Kansas City has to be #2 for best atmosphere, etc. That's true, but it won't be for these deesh. How well is West Virginia going to travel to Kansas City? Every game will practically be like a road game for them - which is fitting, since they belong in Hades.

Agree that it was great to see Lori next to Big John and Jeff Green behind the bench! Wish her all the best

I was like I'd like to see a guy like Bob Valvano get some run in a major conference tournament. He's listenable, knows the game, sounds relaxed behind the mike -- instead they bury him in the Summit League championship (step forward, South Dakota State) and plant Doris in MSG, where she can't stop talking.

Is Len Elmore dead? He and Dan Shulman always did just fine calling the afternoon BET slate thank you very much. Shulman may be the most overrated announcer in sports, but its only because he's now ESPN's no. 1 guy, which is so far above his talents its ridiculous.
God, even the semi-coherent Bob Wenzel would be tolerable.

It occurs to me that Georgetown wins regardless of who wins the Cuse-UConn game tomorrow. It either guarantees that we remain, at worst, tied for the most BET tournament titles, or Syracuse once again falls flat on their face as the 1 seed in the BET. Nice to have a win-win situation like that.

WOW I think the Malik Waayns charge call in the 2nd half of the Villanova-USF game was possibly the worst charge call in the history of basketball. At least top 10 that was a crusher.
Edit:Jay Bilas' laughter at the call was hilarious

Can anyone tell me why I am staying up to watch this debacle? This is the second to last real Big East Tournament? (Yeah, I know, West Virginia is leaving. Whoop-de-do. They aren't that important to Big East basketball.)

Love how McDonough just suggested to children that they skip school in order to watch the Cuse-UConn game tomorrow.
Spoken like a true Cuse "grad."
