We're undefeated against teams that are on our schedule twice. Marquette is on our schedule twice. Ergo... I think that was the point being made. I got that. But we haven't played Marquette twice. We are 6-0 against teams we've played twice. After Saturday, we will be either 8-0 or 7-1, but until that game, we've only played three teams twice. Also, Marquette is a tad bit better than Providence, St. John's and Memphis, so you, know, your mileage may vary. I was very particular in how I phrased my statement: "We're undefeated against teams that are on our schedule twice."

F you Jason King. ESPN.com: Jason King - Making the leap as March approachesAt least one No. 14 seed will win its first-round game. As of Tuesday, Joe Lunardi had the matchups as Baylor versus Nevada, Georgetown versus Belmont, Michigan versus Akron and Marquette versus Middle Tennessee State. Out of those matchups, Georgetown-Belmont catches my eye. The Hoyas have been bad in the NCAA tournament lately and, don't forget, the Bruins almost upset Duke in Durham at the beginning of the season. I never understand these hypothetical articles. According to this fake bracket, this is a potential upset we could see. Well in my fake bracket I see everyone being upset but Georgetown, who wins the tourney as a 16 seed.

It is one tough place to play. Even though it is an NBA style arena, it is an extremely loud and hostile college hoops environment. It is one of those places where you feel slightly unsafe rooting for the visiting team (that doesn't stop me). The fans are pretty intense and they have a nice history they draw on, from the Al McGuire 1970s teams to more recently Dwayne Wade. That must have just been your experience, I've had things thrown at me in the Carrier Dome, drunk Seton Hall/Villanova/Providence fans threaten to fight me, but I've never felt "unsafe" at the Bradley Center

It got a little intense after the '08 game but things calmed down quickly.

I totally agree. It's so funny how much ESPN has to defend everything that Lunardi says as gospel. Meanwhile, tomorrow, Gtown isnt even hypothetically playing the sane team.

It's bad enough that almost all the talking heads have had their field of 64 ... er.. 65 ... err 68 ... for weeks now, not to mention their pairings. But isn't it a bit much to fill out their friggin' bracket? I mean, come on.
If this .. If that ... If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle, and that's equally irrelevant.

Nothing to worry about. The only match up you know the Hoyas have for sure is Marquette. The next one - well, you've already played them at least once. Hopefully you can say that two more times. After that, you don't have to worry about it, there will be somebody out there, hopefully six times. All you got to do is play your game each and every night.

For those of us outside of DC and the Northeast, is there any way to watch the game in HD? I'm tired of watching these espn3 broadcasts that cut the picture off on the sides. Is the Full Court package available in hi-def?

Is the Full Court package available in hi-def? If you get the sports package with the regional sports channels, like MASN, you get it in HD>

If you happen to be heading to Milwaukee for the game, winter storm warning this afternoon and tonight. Looks like it's going to be a mess.

Couple things I want to see for tomorrow:
1) Transition defense. Marquette got a lot of cheap buckets on us in the 1st half last time we played because we didn't get back following a missed shot or turnover. If we can do a better job limiting the turnovers, that will obviously help, but in any case we need to bust back on defense on every possession. Forcing them into a halfcourt offense favors us with the way our defense is playing.
2) Continue to attack the glass. Marquette, although undersized, has always rebounded decently, as they are relentless on the boards and get to a lot of loose balls. Hustle plays are going to play a key role. We got to nearly every 50:50 ball against ND, and we'll have to continue that tomorrow against a team that has several guys with a nose for the ball.
3) Don't fall for Crowder's act. Guy's a good player, but I think everyone remembers the ACC-level of flopping he pulled (successfully) in our last matchup. Everyone on the court needs to recognize what he's doing and avoid the silly fouls that will put our key guys on the bench for extended periods of time and get them closer to the bonus.
Do these things and I'm confident we can come out with a win tomorrow.

Though it wasn't Crowder, there was one flop not called by the refs that made all the difference.

Key is Henry and defense. When he represents a threat offensively and can finish around the basket, it opens everything up for others. When Henry stays out of foul trouble and plays tough defense, it allows our other plays to extend he defense. Hollis and Jason will get lots of attention tomorrow so it would be great if Greg's offensive game continues to flash and for Starks to return to the form as a credible outside threat as he was early in the season.

On the pre-game report it looks like SNY is covering the game. Assuming that is Sports New York, I show them with a woman's game that starts at 6. Is it possible a game this big isn't on in the NYC area?
