Couple things I want to see for tomorrow: 1) Transition defense. Marquette got a lot of cheap buckets on us in the 1st half last time we played because we didn't get back following a missed shot or turnover. If we can do a better job limiting the turnovers, that will obviously help, but in any case we need to bust back on defense on every possession. Forcing them into a halfcourt offense favors us with the way our defense is playing. 2) Continue to attack the glass. Marquette, although undersized, has always rebounded decently, as they are relentless on the boards and get to a lot of loose balls. Hustle plays are going to play a key role. We got to nearly every 50:50 ball against ND, and we'll have to continue that tomorrow against a team that has several guys with a nose for the ball. 3) Don't fall for Crowder's act. Guy's a good player, but I think everyone remembers the ACC-level of flopping he pulled (successfully) in our last matchup. Everyone on the court needs to recognize what he's doing and avoid the silly fouls that will put our key guys on the bench for extended periods of time and get them closer to the bonus. Do these things and I'm confident we can come out with a win tomorrow. YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would that be "clearly incorrect?" I don't normally approach tip off times with a healthy dose of skepticism. It's not listing 2AM startime or anything. Get off your friggen horses. Sorry for the egregious sin of believing the pre-game report's start time even though it was a perfectly sane time to start a college basketball game. From now on I will triple check all published start time sources before wasting your precious time.

None of them stalking other posters via trolling for perceived slants that go back nearly a decade. You need to move on.

Makes sense that MU fans are enthusiastic but a little nicer than SH, SU etc. -- it's like that with the Packers -- must be all that cheese.

Maybe you would have noticed the 2:00 time on the front page? Or maybe you would have noticed SNY's schedule, where it says 'Big East Game of the Week" at 2:00. Or the schedule at guhoyas.com. Or the 32 articles in the GU-Marquette article thread. And where did anyone state that you were "wasting precious time?"

Another annoying slight by Jason King, IMO. "Oh, yeah, Gtown might also win the game, too..."
Jason King I'm looking forward to Marquette's regular-season finale against Georgetown in Milwaukee. A victory by the Golden Eagles would give them sole possession of second place in the final Big East conference standings. That would be quite an accomplishment for a team that is playing without injured forwards Chris Otule and Davante Gardner. Coach Buzz Williams' squad could use a momentum boost after Wednesday's 11-point loss to Cincinnati. It was just the second defeat for Marquette in its past 14 games. Georgetown is one game behind Marquette (13-4) in the league standings. If the Hoyas win, as many as four schools (Georgetown, Marquette, South Florida and Notre Dame) could finish tied for second place. Each of those teams is 12-5.

That's suspicious! Wait...now they want me to believe the game is at the Bradley center? Yeah right. We'll just see about that!" There was no investigation because I'm not generally in the habit of double checking tip-off times with multiple sources nor do I check tv listings 5 hours before the expected program time. But I guess you do. Either that or you just happened to see the front page and not the pre-game page for start time. Which I guess does make you quite sharper than myself. Keep it up the diligent tip-off-time reconciliations. Those were some excellent tips. There I was sitting there going "I know its not at 7PM- that's just crazy talk- but where on earth could I possibly check? I give up!"

I don't know if it's a slight, but if you are trying to build a story for Saturday, isn't "Winner Takes Second Place/2 - Seed" inherently better than "Marquette could take 2nd Place/2 Seed"?
It's not like Georgetown didn't come out of nowhere, at least on par with losing Otule and Gardner for some of the season.

Well, Jason King has us losing to Belmont in the first round, so why waste words on a team that has no chance?
