The reason that UConn is still in is that the bubble is insanely weak. If you want to knock UConn out, you have to put someone in in their place.
Who might that be?

I would rather see a solid team from a smaller conference that might lose its conference tournament. For example if a team like Long Beach State doesnt get an automatic bid. Long Beach state has beaten teams like Pitt, Xavier, and have gone undefeated in there conference. They had close loses to KU AND UNC. I rather see a team like this or even a team like IONA if they dont win there conference. Uconn has played like dogs all season long. It would be a travesty if they got in short of getting to the BET finals....

Yes Uconn has played poorly the last month and a half, but their resume of quality wins is still pretty decent and better than other bubble teams like Miami and NC state to name a few.

And they're better the the kind of team you suggested would take their place. There are unfortunately NO mid-majors who did anything worthwhile this season either. When both the Pac 10 and the CAA should be one-bid conferences there's a lot of room for discretion.

So where do we stand now given USF losing, Cincy winning, and the Hoyas losing? We're 5th playing who as the 12/13?

Yes, 12/13 matchup can still change depending on the result of the St. John's/Rutgers game.

besides the matchups, worst part is that we're in line to get two afternoon games as the 5 seed. bites.

It is Editeding unbelievable to me how this turned out after Monday night. Could not have gone worse. Worst case scenario across the board. Instead of getting a 6 seed (which would set up a game with Notre Dame), the Hoyas must now potentially go through Pitt (seniors are 1-3), and Cincinnati (1-5) to even make it to Syracuse.

I know the way it worked out sucks guys, but can we stop dwelling as soon as possible and start looking at this as an opportunity for revenge? Let's get fired up for this chance to knock off everyone who beat us and angered us in season. If the team comes out angry and ready to prove a point, its going to bode well.
