Yep Must Win Lic.
Clearly need to get the offense out of the slump.
Time for henry to recapture a little of what he had back in December. it doesn't matter what kind of system we run but we need to establish more of an inside game. when it's not there he must kick it out and not force it.
We need Markel to regain a little confidence and to find some offense out of the frsshman, time for Otto to show its January and he is no longer a freshman.
Really need to cap off this good start and go 4-1... With the next 5 games after Cinci we have a great opputunity to continue what we have started. Yes I know one game at a time.

Not turning the ball over 10-12 times in the first half would help compared to the past two games.

St johns ran these guys to death off of missed threes. Can't count on them shooting about 20%. Must control Kilpatrick from the outside if we allow him to go off could be in trouble.

AND HENRY NEEDS TO HIT THOSE BUNNIES! OTTO JUST PLAYED HIS WORST GAME OF SEASON. I DON'T THINK IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. You are Absolutely right about 1 game at a time. If someone had asked you, would you take 3-1 after our first 4 BE games, including AT L'ville, AT WVA, home vs. #20 Marquette and PC? OF course you would, I would, anyone would. Not to mention our 11 game win streak. So, we just need to get back to what we were doing, get team to refocus, and start a NEW win streak!

We have a 4 game stretch of very winnable games, but we have to show up and play hard in order to win. The Big East is tough this year. I don't care what anyone says, you're not going to have easy games against any of the so called bottom teams. DePaul, USF, Rutgers, St. John's Providence you're going to have to earn those wins. They're not just going to roll over for you.
Cincinnati is going to be tough an physical. It's going to be a battle. I think having the game at home will push us over the edge. The crowds while not big have gotten loud when we needed them to. I think the WV game will refocus the team. They're a good defensive team that will make us work for our points. They force turnovers and get steals. We have to limit our turnovers especially live ball turnover that lead to easy points. They also don't put people on the line. They attempt a lot of three pointers 35.1% of their points come from there and they attempt over the average fore 3PA/FGA. and hit them at a good clip as well 36.6%. Luckily shutting down the 3pt line continues to be a strength of this team(10th in the nation). They do not draw fouls and when they get to the line they do not shoot it well. They crash the offensive glass to grab rebounds, but do an equally bad job on the defensive glass. They also have a low 2pt FG% and since they have a pretty low block % on offense that tells me they're probably shooting a lot of 2pt jumpers.
So keep defending the arc well, don't turn the ball over for easy run outs, Box out on defense, but be aware that there are opportunities on the offensive glass for points for us.

Season starts here.
Huggie provided everyone with a great gameplan on how to play us and it's this long haul in the middle of the conference year that can kill a team.
So the Hoyas have to be even sharper on both ends than they have been if they want to continue their success. Big games coming up.

Tonight's game is important not so much as to not bring back memories of last year but to hold serve at home. We all know that there will be BE losses this year but young Hoyas should try extra extra extra hard to win home games especially with teams that you play twice like Cincy.

We don't play them twice: only Provy, MU, SJU. We should beat them to prove that we can execute on the offensive end against a physical team. Or we should win because Otto is Editeded.

2 reasons we need to win this game:
1. it's a Big East home game. 2. we need to show we can bounce back from Saturday's loss.
2 keys to this game:
1. take better care of the ball. 2. defend Kilpatrick and Gates.
