Season starts here. Huggie provided everyone with a great gameplan on how to play us and it's this long haul in the middle of the conference year that can kill a team. So the Hoyas have to be even sharper on both ends than they have been if they want to continue their success. Big games coming up. Totally agree. This is where we traditionally have our mid-season lull. We've had some of worst BE games in January, including at home, in the last few years. Cannot lose focus in this one. WVU is an easy mulligan, but this one separates top 4 from the middle of the BE pack.

It would be to our benefit if we attempted to run a little after misses and avoid playing against their half court D. it appeared that 70% of St Johns scoring came from pushing the ball after Cinci misses on saturday. and they missed a lot.

Thank you Sleepy--been saying this for 8 years now. Also--be strong with and value the ball. Too many sloppy, unforced turnovers lately and realize the type of offense Georgetown uses leads to a few --the misreads on cuts, but the guy who is getting a pass has to come meet the ball and make a defender go through him instead of fading from the ball. These guys aren't going to have any fear or respect for Georgetown based on beating them by a total of 34 pts in 2 games last year--so it's up to Hoyas to take on the physical challenge and push the tempo. Make a scattered shooting team hit shots to beat you instead of engaging in the grind it out, physical game that III's teams don't do as well.

It's snowing in DC right now. Knowing how area residents react to the slightest amount of flurries, expect attendance to be in the hundreds tonight.

I was at the Snowmageddon game last year and it was worth every minute of the drive home. The year before we crushed Villanova in a driving blizzard. So perhaps this bodes well...

All I know is that we better take of business tonight. We have superior talent and depth compared to Cincinatti. Need to bounce back, show resiliance, and keep positive momentum heading into the "easier" part of the conference schedule.
Show some fight tonight Hoyas! Get after it!

Well this is definitely a game where you have stay within yourself. Cincy will give you a chance to whoop them because of the numerous bad shots they take from the perimeter. We need to challenge without fouling on the perimeter, and clean up the misses and its an easy victory. WE CAN NOT TURN THE BALL OVER in live-ball situations and please for the love of everything sacred get back on our misses, no need to hand them a bunch of points. Kilpatrick has range in the gym, Dixon and Parker can shoot as well but are very streaky. And Henry needs to finish strong against Justin Jackson who is a jumping jack.

Be aggressive. Attack, attack, attack. Yes, the defense must be better than what we saw against WVU. But our main guys must be more consistent and must look for their shot more. And quicker too. Sims can't hold on the ball ala Hibbert and Monroe on the perimeter as he waits for a teammate to cut. He must take a shot or make a decisive move if his teammates aren't open. The rest must not wait for their three-point shots to fall, they have to take it to the basket. Clark provided that blueprint against Marquette. The guy doing the color-commentating during the WVU game, a guy who has showered III and the Hoyas with tons of praise over the years, hit it on the head in the first half when he said (paraphrasing here) the Hoyas often concentrate on running the offense rather than looking to score. So true. There needs to be a mix. Starks, Thompson, Clark and the rest need to come to play. This game is huge. Cincy killed Gtown last year and I would hope they want some payback. I also hope that III draws up a more inspired game plan than he did against WVU.

Can anyone explaining the Thundersnow thing? I get it's Nate-I just thought snow came from him being white haha. Also due to the National Championship I wouldn't expect there to really be a crowd at all.
--Just switched over to the game. Actually a lot more fans than I would expect.

that sucks when georgetown "faces georgetown and can't get anything from the perimeter"
