Visiting UNC with Nate Britt and Mitch McGary this weekend...also Scout speculating that UNC and Kentucky are Warren's top 2 (although Warren hasn't been quoted saying that).

Visiting UNC with Nate Britt and Mitch McGary this weekend...also Scout speculating that UNC and Kentucky are Warren's top 2 (although Warren hasn't been quoted saying that). According to a NC State Wolfpack website Warren and Rodney Purvis will attend the NC State home football game on Saturday.. Will be a busy weekend for the him. Dave Telep re-tweeted the info...

His final 5 is Georgetown, NC State, UNC, Florida, and Kentucky. Let the games begin.

In no order, but not alphabetized.

I think we are well positioned, but still tough competition. Who knows at this point, but we have as good a chance as anyone.

Knowing that Kansas offered, we already beat out a top flight program to make his final 5. That would be the second time in a short period we bested Kansas, read Otto-matic.

From an Rivals article re: interview with TJ's Dad:
UNC, Georgetown and Florida aren't giving up either.
"He's got a lot of people giving him advice and he knows John Wall so you know he's been calling and talking to T.J. some. "He's been talking a lot with the Georgetown coaches too."

Warren is a sleeper recruit. Big time scorer who we actually have a good shot at. He mentions Georgetown consistently.
Man, a 6'8'' 230 pound small forward with perimeter shooting ability would KILL it in our offense. Along with Otto and Greg that's a ton of interchangeable parts with awesome size on offense. I think they could all coexist too because the skill level is high enough. We'd give other teams fits.
I'm not even going to think about what the lineup looks like if Kyle comes on board, but damn...

play Warren at the 2 with Otto at the 3....Warren's handles/shooting good enough....scary scary lineup possibilities i just hope chips start to fall in the right place

I'm just happy with the type of players being targeted and aggressively (truly intense recruitment, not false lies like some recruits).
TJ Warren is a great player and has shown a lot of love to Georgetown throughout his recruitment. Now people are starting to take Hoyas seriously--although not as much as they should.

This is all great (hopefully), but how would a line-up with Kyle at the point and Warren at the 2 work defensively? Could they guard anyone?

We'd figure something out on defense. It would have to be situational with a crazy lineup like that (two 6'8'' guys in the backcourt...) A 2-3 zone could work - sort of Cuse on steroids with big, long guys up top.
Either way, it's a good problem to have and good luck to any team trying to scheme for us on offense in the extremely unlikely scenario this comes to pass.

T.J. Warren only wants to play the 3. Is being adamant that schools recruiting him only play him at the 3.
Wouldn't mind a future 1/2/3/4 of Kyle Anderson, Danuel House, TJ Warren, Devonta Pollard. Ain't over til it's over.

Man, a 6'8'' 230 pound small forward with perimeter shooting ability would KILL it in our offense... Doesn't that pretty much describe DaJuan Summers? And he did have a pretty good frosh season when he played the 3.
