TarikElBashir The #Hoyas did not practice today. But Julian Vaughn appears to be okay, I'm told. Excellent news indeed.

Good news. Still should give Moses some run to keep JV's minutes as low as possible. It's a long way to go until March.

Has anyone else gotten any warning or barrings of this site or kicked off this site for disagreeing and responding constructively and respectfully? So we're not allowed to respond to replys that are made towards us, and when you respond, it's called "repetitive?" I just wanna know from the sensable folks, just a lil confused here, lol, have a great weekend...Hoya Saxa! Kent: I'm going to ask a second time that you dial back the arguing with posters. Your post levels approached one every four minutes last night--for those who read the threads, it reads like a Twitter feed and that is leading to a lot of complaints. No one here doubts you are a loyal fan. Take the leadership to back off and to follow the board rules which ask people not to post repetitive messages. - Admin BTB - take a breath, guy, don't get into posting wars because of some negative opinions. You did go a little overboard, you responded twice in about 4 minutes to the same RDF post, then you had 3 different responses to another post of his. We all know you are an eternally optimistic fan and a great supporter of the program. Just walk away from the screen when things get heated, you'll live longer and happier! Hoya Saxa, my friend. lol, hey dude how are ya...Just wanted to say I was just responding to RDF's comments as he did the same as always. I guess it's that's called overboard, so be it. But I'll try to igg fom now because I already know thanks. Believe me bro I am very happy and blessed and love what I do and have lots of fan support not just here in the states but in about 10 different countries...remember this is a computer not a person, so it's just fun and games with me bro and thanks for the encouragement too my man! I'm already 48 man, hope to live forever lol, but thanks again, Im glad you recognize some of these attacks towards me are negative...the Admin guy and some else gives me these warning and bar me off of here for months or a year in the past for no reason and then I ask them have they ever trying to break it up or warned the other folks...no response.. U see my comments when I respond I even use words such as, respectfully, and I respect your opinion and all that jazz and Admin still says im the one arguing man lol just too funny but you're right I knew this would happen but the next time sometime someone sayssomething negative im gonna send it to them and see their respone. He'll probably say, "dont send folks negative comments through private message, if you do Ill suspend your account" a made up rule..anyways man i'm out...oops I guess I better not write to much because it might be "repetitive" hahaa...

BTB... no one is attacking you. If anything, it's the other way around. We all respect the fact that you're a fan. You're the one calling other people out as non-fans. You say "respectfully" then proceed to degrade other posters. No one has attacked you personally. When people analyze the state of the team, you take it as a personal affront. I get that you're close to the program so you feel as though any comments that are critical of the program you take personally. But please recognize that the people here love this team, this school, this program and everything related to being a Hoya (granted there are a few exceptions to that). Personally, I feel as though you don't at all get where other people are coming from. No one is questioning your loyalty or invalidating your opinions. If anything, it's the other way around. You call people not real fans. That's going to strike a nerve. We can all coexist. But if you keep reading things into stuff that's written that is not intended at all, it's going to continue the same way. If you haven't noticed, you're the instigator. That's truth. There's no assumptions or anything to do with being a grown man going on. You're the one assuming or reading into things that aren't there. Maybe you're so entwined in the program that you take it personally and, as such, feel the need to protect the guys on the squad from things that people here say that you see as inappropriate. Maybe you're right. Maybe you're wrong. This is a FAN message board. You don't get to decide who the fans are and who aren't or what the definition of fan means. I did PM you positing that we shouldn't comment to one another but you take things to a whole new level. The vast majority of people here love the Hoyas and have for many years. In all of the disagreements/differences of opinions I've had here I've very rarely questioned another poster's level of support for the team. Why would they be here otherwise? The ironic part is that you spew negative stuff personally toward other people and then play the victim. We all love this school, this team and these guys. You're the one calling people out. How you don't get that is beyond me. That being said, I respect your commitment to the school and the team and the young people. You're doing great things but you're undercutting yourself by posting the way you do.

You're doing great things but you're undercutting yourself by posting the way you do. MOD COMMENT: This post is exactly on target. Virtually every poster here is a fan/supporter of the program or an alumnus. That said, the purpose of this forum is for those people to discuss the team and the games. There are going to be things that go great and things that don't go great on the court. Discussing that, and how you think it could improve or be done differently is half the fun of coming here. Saying that this or that player has trouble giving help defense is not over the top, as long as you do not express it as a personal attack. Likewise, calling other posters non-fans is a personal attack that only serves to upset those posters and invites a negative response.
ALL posters should read the Board Rules, linked here, completely. These rules have been in existence since the start of the board and all posters are expected to follow them. We as moderators only step in when posters repeatedly violate them, despite warnings not to do so.
When troll posters sign in here simply to make trouble it is usually obvious after 2 or 3 posts. Trust me, those posters are banned quickly.
Finally, can we please keep this thread on topic? People would rather discuss the upcoming game than have to wade through pages of inter-poster bickering.

you have to take off at least 1 day a week per NCAA rules.

the rule aside...days off often help to step away from the game and be able to refocus....when you're in the middle of the season fatigue can set in mentally and physically (obvious i know) but even a day off does wonders. It's a great motivator too....competitors should want to get better fix the deficiencies...keeping them away from the court should leave them chomping at the bit to get back to work

It was perfect timing to have a week off--because the team won a tough game--and found a way to win--but they played in a manner that they won't beat many more teams if they keep playing like that. Hope they've addressed some of the defensive breakdowns--but more importantly--the team has to value the ball and be strong. Can't have HS like turnovers-which are just happening far too often for a backcourt oriented team.

BTB... no one is attacking you. .. If anything, it's the other way around. This is incorrect. RDF called him a poser with zero basketball knowledge. That's about as personal as you can get, considering Kent is part of the Program and is also a basketball coach. There were some other personal attacks too. IMO that was a big factor in the escalation of the flame war.

Moving on to the johnies for me this is a barometer game. Do we man up and beat a solid (not TOP) but solid big east team or do we wilt and get yanked from the top 25 poll? This is an important game and a winnable game. Id think the boys would want to get some payback as well. Time to man up..
