Anyone see any updates on the johnnies injuries last night? Hardy was apparently not serious-game was out of hand, so no need to risk him-http://es.pn/fBH6Lj Then again, NY Post calls it a high ankle sprain, so guess we should keep an eye on how he plays v. Cincy. Who else on their team got hurt? Can't find a reference. I only caught parts of the game but I thought I heard the commentators mention that someone else was pulled as well. And what was with Pollee only playing a few minutes?

I think every game on the schedule is winnable....of course we won't win all of them, but there isn't anyone on the schedule that we CAN'T beat.... Im going to need people to stop thinking we're Savannah State or something....We still have one of the best backcourts in the country....and while we have problems fundamentally with our team, guess what? There isn't a perfect team in this league.....Pitt is close to perfect, but they aren't on our schedule anymore. Of the teams on our schedule, we just have to find a way to impose on them what WE DO WELL. Make them adjust to us. We've lost games because the other teams made us adjust to what they do. Flip that around and we have the chance to be much more successful than people around this board are giving us a chance to be. Makes me mad when I see posters saying stuff like "let's scrape our way into the NCAA tournament"....We're a better team than that exactly thank you. People honestly think we suck and have no chance in half the remaining games. That just boggles my mind.

I suspect some posters are just "cautious" in light of our last 3 1/2 weeks, and also the fact that we will be underdogs in a number of games the rest of the way unless we keep moving in the right direction. That, plus the fact that some can't keep themselves from dreading doom and gloom. Most of us remain optimistic, and know that we CAN win every game left IF we bring our A game to the court.

Will we win every game the rest of this year in the BE? Very doubtful. This is one tough league this year. Will we be the BE regular season champs? Again, same. Taking those two options out of consideration, this team can go on a good run and build up some momentum for the BET and the NCAA's. The Hoyas seem to play better when they are underdogs. Let everyone think they can beat our team. Let the Hoyas prove them wrong.
GO HOYAS!!! Beat the Redmen.

kenpom.com/blog/index.php/weblog/the_head-to-head_fallacy/"When the home team was the winner of the first game, they were a collective 309-326 in the rematch. That’s right, a home winner is more likely to lose a rematch than win it. It gets better, though. A home team winning the first game by single-digits went a collective 96-195, winning 33.0% of the time. Considering that overall, road teams win conference games about 38% of the time, close home winners are really not proving their superiority at all. Wait, there’s more. Home teams that won by one or two points(i'm counting this since they only one by 3 because we had to foul at the end) were 16-52 in the rematches, winning just 23.5% of the time. Most fans like to think the results of a close game as just because teams that emerge victorious show grittiness, heart, and toughness. But those teams were almost certain losers when they faced the same team on the road. What happened to the grittiness then? To me, there’s no greater statement to the influence of luck in the outcome of a close game than the struggles of close home winners in a road game against the same team. If you still doubt, consider this: The average margin for the winners of the first game in those cases was +1.6 points. The average margin for those teams in the rematch was -6.9, almost exactly double what many studies have shown to be typical home court advantage. Was there anything more going on for the close home winners than just simply being at home? It doesn’t appear that way."

basically despite having lost the first game, we are much more likely to win the rematch.

Has anyone else gotten any warning or barrings of this site or kicked off this site for disagreeing and responding constructively and respectfully?
So we're not allowed to respond to replys that are made towards us, and when you respond, it's called "repetitive?" I just wanna know from the sensable folks, just a lil confused here, lol, have a great weekend...Hoya Saxa! Kent:
I'm going to ask a second time that you dial back the arguing with posters. Your post levels approached one every four minutes last night--for those who read the threads, it reads like a Twitter feed and that is leading to a lot of complaints.
No one here doubts you are a loyal fan. Take the leadership to back off and to follow the board rules which ask people not to post repetitive messages. - Admin

My thoughts exactly. I know we all hope the layoff will be worth it and give the team time to work some problem areas out. But in the meantime, it's friggin' killing me!

I think there is also a week in between the last two regular season games. I"m guessing that an opponent fell through. There is usually only one break like this once the BE season starts.

You did go a little overboard, you responded twice in about 4 minutes to the same RDF post, then you had 3 different responses to another post of his. We all know you are an eternally optimistic fan and a great supporter of the program. Just walk away from the screen when things get heated, you'll live longer and happier! Hoya Saxa, my friend.
