Wow nova actually playing James Bell who broke both shins this offseason. Looks like they're getting desperate. Even if he was "cleared to play" I don't know why you would rush him back like this unless you didn't trust your depth.

Kemba Walker with a triple double. I think Freeman will need to score 30 again tomorrow to win BE player of the week.

Kemba Walker with a triple double. I think Freeman will need to score 30 again tomorrow to win BE player of the week. Why? Kemba did his damage against Little Sisters of the Poor. It would be like rewarding Freeman for his outburst against NC Asheville last week.

Not saying that he should get it over Freeman, but I don't know how much weight they actually give to strength of opponent in this thing. And with the amount of Kemba hype going on right now . . .

Louisville dominates my childhood CBB team, the South Alabama Jags, 97-70. South is pretty terrible this year, though, so not a good RPI win at all.
Pitt and Marquette easily dispatch Rider and Longwood, respectively.
Coastal Carolina held off Charleston Southern in their first conference game of the season.
Tulane picks up a 63-52 win over the Rajin' Cajuns and Providence beats URI. On the negative RPI side, West Virginia falls to The U by 3, in Miami, 79-76.

In the Cuse/NC State game, C.J. Williams just took Dion Waiters' knee to his junk at full speed. Cue mass grimace.

Wolfpack played like a young team down the stretch. Too many unforced turnovers and questionable decisions.
That was winnable too--Cuse didn't have their A, B, or even C game this evening, and some of the shot-making was fugly. They're missing a three point shooting threat.
When Cuse went to the full court press with about 8 mins to go, even though it was only a few possessions and they only scored two points from it, I thought they'd pull away. They started to exploit their athletic advantage, finally got the crowd into the game, and NC State looked rattled. That they didn't pull away is a sign that either (a) it was a bad day for them; (b) they've got some issues to work through on that roster. Maybe both.

That kind of was the norm for Cuse so far. They've looked unimpressive every time out.

Crap really? That sucks they were starting to garner votes in the polls and beating richmond would've moved them up. Would've been nice to see them crack the top 25 eventually. Looks like that won't be happening unless they beat Mizzou.
