From Scout:
"Andrew White is one of the better wing players in the class. He is an excellent athlete who handles the ball well and can really shoot it from deep. Also he has continually gotten better showing a high level work ethic. He needs to do a better job of playing hard all the time, but the tools are in place for him to be an excellent player at the high-major level."
+'s 3-point Range Athleticism Work Effort
-'s Attack Mode Gets to Free Throw line
I assume they mean he doesn't get to the free throw line, but I don't know what they mean about Attack Mode.
Sounds like a good fit.
ESPN has him 51, Rivals 56, Scout 52

It's what needs to happen with recruiting. Stay on top of it and plan for changes so the staff doesn't get caught with their pants down.

It's pretty clear that 1) Hollis is leaving; 2) White was our Plan B in case Warren didn't come through.
Interesting that we will potentially have handed out 9 scholarships in 2 seasons. Plus, Moses and Bowen could both have extra eligibility given their injuries.
DSR, Upshaw, Bolden, and White would be a nice balanced class, especially with the conference turmoil as a recruiting headwind.

This came out of nowhere, but this kid sounds like he's not Suhm Randuhm Dood.

Most people think Hollis is leaving after next season given that he put his name in the draft after last season.
I think White qualifies as Suhm Rahndim Dood. You don't have to be a bad recruit to be the Dood. Just completely off anyone's radar. There are probably as many Doods as there are non-Doods.

I don't see how a Top 50 recruit can be the Dood. Since Ive been on the boards the Dood has always been some last minute recruit that was a stretch to be recruited by GTown or any high major. White has interest from Texas and Kentucky. He cant be the Dood. Dotson can be the Dood if we dont get White..................

I can't wait for the breakout season Hollis must be planning on having since he has the NBA in his sights...

He's going to have his degree after this year. So, if he does go pro..I can't blame him. Can only applaud that.

The staff has been monitoring him for a while and been in contact but didn't think they would offer since I thought one would've been offered a while back.
I always thought he was a good mid-major prospect, but to his credit, he's worked really hard and would be a nice pickup.
Doesn't have Warren's size or overall skill-set offensively, but can shoot it and if he keeps at it, he could be downright deadly from deep.

More athletic than Warren, but skill set is not as advanced.

Who leaves college early to play ball in Italy? Hollis needs to wake up and work on his handle. He ain't no NBA player.

Who leaves college early to play ball in Italy? Hollis needs to wake up and work on his handle. He ain't no NBA player. Hollis graduates this year-which means he also would have the option to go to any school he likes, not sit out and play his SR year if he chose that route instead of NBA. NOT saying he will do this--but too many people forget about that option players have. Just hope that he/team have a great season this year.
