Bolden played in the Elite Showcase Basketball Classic this weekend (HS All-Star game). Trawick and Whittington played in the game last year. Have heard Bolden looked quite good. Here's a tweet from someone that was watching: twitter.com/#!/DMVBBallScoop/status/183660241030885376 twitter.com/#!/HoyaNation/status/183661462252818434

Guy got skills. Quick first step, understands leverage offensively. Quick dribble and dunk on one play. I like him. Defense/rebounding: lacking right now (seems like he works more on his offense up to this point.). that reminds me, has JTIII ever had a good defender in the post? Hibbs? eh...

Nate is a great post defender he just gives up a little bit of size against some of the taller interior players. Henry was decent but could be pushed off the block by some heftier players. I'm hoping Moses is pretty good but I could see him being beat by quicker players.

Now that was informative video....I like what I see, I can see why Jt3 gave him a schollie for sure. Can run is long and looks like he is comfortable handling the ball a little bit. The defense cant really judge cause no one was playing D really, and the rebounding was definitely a concern and something he will need to work on. Boy he is a long athletic guy definitely 6-10 or 6-11 and early in that video the perimeter J looked decent. Ready to rock with him. This game made me glad we got him.

Good to see. He's very skinny, but no question he can run the floor really well for his size and he looks bouncy. He's a project, but he looks like a worthwhile project at that height (really think he's closer to the 6'9''+ range).
I remain puzzled by his lack of playing time or production at QEA, but whatever. Whole new ball game in college. He will be interesting to watch at Kenner. Hope he comes off the bench to back up Nerlens on the Tombs!

He's been listed as anywhere from 6'8'' to 6'11''. It's hard to really say, but he sure looks like he's on the higher end of that to me, and with long arms to boot.

What is this kids age? Is he a grade ahead like Henry was? If so that could account for his apparent aloofness attitude while on the court. From the video he does not appear to be einterested in defense or rebounding positioning, even taking into consideration that this was an All Star game and those two things are not stressed a lot. He does seem to be able to run and chew gum at the same time, which I was beginning to wonder about given the lack of videos and reports from the board. What I liked the most was his use of the dunk to finish around the basket. Loved the effort of Monroe, Vaughn and Sims, but would love to see a Hoya center who plays above the rim again. I think Hopson and Moses are above the rim centers, but not sure about Tyler. NN is definitely a above the rim center. So with Hopson, Moses, NN and Bolden we can look forward to the alley-oop pass to a cutting center after a back screen for a thunderous dunk.

I definitely like what I see, especially after months of people bashing him for not being talented and what not. Welcome to the hilltop BB

Given that we know very little about Bolden, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. If we don't get Noel, we're going to need talented big guys, and Bolden might fit that category. Also, early in his recruitment, people were saying extremely positive things about him and his potential. I trust that John Thompson III and his staff can bring out that potential if he is willing to put in the effort at the collegiate level.

He didnt listen to instructions. That's knock on him and some highlights from a C level All Star game aren't going to change the impression he left throughout the year. If he wants to take basketball seriously, he's got to show that consistently.
