that pick-up game video is useless......doesn't really tell me anything and its all just of one guy. I reserve all judgements on his skills till Kenner. Its really not worth trying to find anything now that isn't a full game.

As I said "It's a pickup game, so we shouldn't put too much stock in it, but hey, at least we get to see the kid run around."
That's all it is. Deep breaths guys.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool then to open one's mouth and remove all doubt. I was wondering where should I start...

This is the most quietest recruit I have observed. No videos, no write ups, no Stats. Does he really exist?

That being said, most of the articles that I have read describe him as a fairly athletic PF rather than a back to the basket center. Hopefully he is the 6'11" and can be a talented 4 like amare stoudemire or something. If so, we could be looking at a fairly long talented team the next few years if Tyler or Moses becomes a talented 5 man.

He might also be able to do some nice things in our zone.

From everything I've heard, he's definitely at least 6'10, and probably 6'11.

Does anybody have a solid piece of information on his height? stood next to him? used a tape measure? Doesn't matter if he's 5'0 or 7'5 if he can't play. The obsession with his height is focussing on the wrong issues. Either he can ball or not and THAT should be the issue people are focused on. Unfortunately like his height noone can really say for sure if he can.

Which is why the NN recruitment is so important. If we sign Nerlens then anything we get from BB is gravy. We can afford to take on the project and hope he is ready by his soph year. If not then BB has to be ready and in the 6'10"-6'11" range because we don't really know what we have with Tyler or Moses......................

I see bolden as an anthony jones type. The anthony jones from Baylor. 6'10-6'11, long, athletic face-up four man. Jones prefers to shoot jumpers rather than post up. He's also a great defender who often plays out on the perimeter. If holden can give us solid play defensively initially and add offense as he grows.

Tall and athletic are two things he has. But I guess no one is at all certain whether he can board, defend, dribble, pass, shoot, etc. I don't have expectations that he can develop into an all-BE caliber player, but if he gave us size and depth that would be helpful. Kenner will be illuminating.

Has there even been a high major recruit that was a bigger question mark coming in than this kid? No tapes of his games, no stats, barely any mentions in recruiting write-ups....is that just because he was Top 100 when we signed him and then he proceeded to pick up splinters on the bench for his Jr and Sr years? Did he play this year? Its unbelievable. Even Jerry Benimon was written up in local newspapers and we had a sense of his senior year stats.

Seriously, Bolden feels like he's a JT2 era recruit and he's being hidden for some Hoya paranoia reason

I am going to laugh my a$$ off if he turns out to be some superstar who took the last year or so easy. However, with our luck, not so likely

I'm thinking injury, grades or personal issue. The starting 5 are not all talented than this guy.
