For those interested in seeing Ochefu live in the DC area, Westtown is playing this weekend in the Bullis Holiday Classic. Westtown's first game is tonight, 12/17 @ 6:30pm in the Old Gym (the one on the left after entering the facility). They play Dunbar of DC (Darryl Prue's former High School). The Bullis Tournament is a great annual event, and Westtown should fare quite well over the next 3 days. For what it's worth at the HS level, Westtown is "Seeded" #1 in the tournament.

Can't find any box scores online, but did find 2 espn notes about his weekend. He scored 16 (of his team's 51) against Archbishop Carroll in the semis on Saturday, and he scored 15 (of 55) in the final against Archbishop Spalding on Sunday.

Hoyas have long been considered the leader, though the kid hasn't said it. People in Philly think Hoyas lead. At least that's what I heard before the holidays.

Thanks id. He sounds like a good prospect and kid with a great family...who knows from these little blurbs, but it sounds promising.

Is he aggressive or is he passive?

Is he aggressive or is he passive? A couple of years playing ball in Philly will knock any passivity right out of him.

Hoyas always lead for underclassmen who are bigs in Philly--be it Rasheed or Rakeem--maybe the fact the kid is named Daniel will help their cause--but I'm not holding my breath. Lost to many guys they've "led" for as underclassmen to get too excited and I hope the kid comes to Georgetown-he'd be a great addition-but fool me once, fool me twice, etc....

RDF:
Do you think it is simply hard for the Hoyas to recruit in Philly (as I would expect), or do you perceive that something else is involved?
I don't see 'Nova as being listed, so perhaps that is good news.

Rasheed Wallace, Philadelphia star, was saying throughout his soph and junior years that it was between Georgetown and Temple. Ended up at North Carolina.
