@danielochefu23 georgetown did their thing tonight Does this mean he was watching or does this mean that someone was watching and told him about the game? Bronxie is not up on Twitter although he does have a facebook. Thanks for that completely useless information.

Not to pee in anyone's cheerios--but Rakeem Christmas tweeted about the Hoyas and their games all of last year too.
Ochefu and any other kid serious in Georgetown (btw--Kyle Anderson told Adam Zagoria his mom wants him to stay close to home and play in Big East.....and she attended MM at GTown with him so.......LOL) had to like what they have seen.

Not that I'm a pessimist at heart, but this post should be set aside and revisited every time we think we have some kid locked up. I'll take my cup of urine on the side, please.

If there is one thing we should all have learned by now, it is that NO kid is locked up until you have his LOI safely in your hands.

He is working amazingly hard. It's helpful that our supposed top 2012 targets (Ochefu and Anderson) are within reasonable driving distance.

Don't care how many bigs we have...get THIS guy.
The only scenario that would make me hope the Hoyas pass on him was if getting Ochefu took Gtown out of contention in getting Noel in 2013.

Amile is also playing in the tournament Ochefu is in, guessing III might have hung around to see him as well.
SteveKellerNRR:
There are a lot but five at top of list for Ochefu are GeorgeTown West Virginia Virginia Texas & Temple and he helps them all. Skills&Size

Any chance Ochefu is going to be at the Temple game? Daniel already went to their second game against Toledo (so not sure he will attend another Temple game so soon).

I'm not an expert at such things, but wouldn't Ochefu attend the upcoming Hoyas-Temple game to see the Hoyas? Can we invite him / give him tickets to an away game?

I am not sure about the rules either TBird, but I THINK only the home team can invite players. However, if the HCs have a decent working relationship, I THINK the home team can do the visiting team a favor and invite a kid. Not sure about that, just an impression I have. If someone knows for sure, please help us out.

I believe the way it works is that there is generally a gentlemen's agreement between schools to provide tickets for opposing recruits. I think that you can't buy them away tickets but can do home -- thus a little quid quo pro. Not sure, though. But I seem to remember something like that.

I remember that Roscoe Smith (=/= Hoya) was at the UConn game last year the day after he committed to them. But I would assume we had probably already given him the ticket at that point.

Visiting players are also given tickets ---limited allotment but they can give them to family members, etc.....so you'll see Trawick there--probably near Hoyas bench, and Ochefu listing Hoyas/Owls in top 5--unless he's playing that night--he should be there. Wonder if Amile Jefferson shows up too?
