Ochefu sighting at Gtown right now. JTIII is taking him around campus, showing him the new b-school. Get it done III! Wish I could be a fly on the wall hearing JT3 give an orientation and push the program. Makes me wonder to what extent he goes to sell the program. I've heard that for Greg's visit he had a video presentation of Jeff's role in the offense so that Greg could envision himself doing the same thing. I've heard the story about Pops arranging a visit by Patrick to one of Zo's high school games which pretty much sealed the deal for Zo. So what does he do for a guy like Ochefu? Hopefully, spending the day with Daniel is enough....but a drop in my Greg, Roy, Jeff, Zo, Patrick, Tricky-Dicky, or AI wouldn't hurt.

Here's one guy who Ochefu has met that I imagine is only saying good things about the Hoyas: tinyurl.com/29gxqkdDaniel is on the left. (Note: The pic is public on his fb profile, and it was not taken during the current visit to Georgetown.)

It would be GREAT if JT3 can reel him in. Good for GU. and good for Daniel too!

Always good to have the NBA'ers involved with the program...

Hope coach has Dikembe talk to chol who on twitter says he wants to be a humanitarian. Can't get a better role model if you're a big man who wants to play hoops than be a humanitarian.

I can't begin to translate that, but I think it's positive. @bigdan023 Georgetown was popping! Time to hit that UVA tailgate lol. Football is a great sport. Basketball will remain supreme tho..I'm hype!! I had a very enjoyable time at Georgetown. I was kept quite busy, and had a lot of fun! Now, it would be pleasant to examine the party at the parking lot of UVA's football stadium. Perhaps I will imbibe an adult beverage while gazing upon suntanning college beauties! Despite the fact that I enjoy going to football games, I prefer basketball, after all, it is my own sport. I'm very excited about the current direction of my life!!

Today while speaking to a good Philly Hoops contact regarding Jabril Trawick, he indicated that the current feeling in Philly is that we are the leader for Daniel Ochefu.

let's turn that "leading" into a "commitment!"

Don't want to be a downer, but let's not count our chickens before they're hatched. Same thing was said about us being the leader with Christmas. Don't think they are similar situations, but let's just not get too excited on this yet. Think WVU is more than in the mix too.

All true, but I'd still rather see us considered the leader for a top kid than nowhere on his radar. I think the key is just to not get too excited over it.

OK, so this is stating the obvious... but we need to nail down Ochefu....before some other last second screwy foul up occurs! Daniel, come on down! Dikembe is all set to welcome you!

Given that this kid is just starting his junior year of high school, I wouldn't get too excited that he is going to be making his decision real soon.

A fall commit from a junior wouldn't be that strange for us. Freeman, Braswell, Clark, Thompson, Starks, Lubick... all committed in fall of their junior years, IIRC. So really, under normal circumstances, we'd have most of our recruits in the senior class locked up by this time of the year and we'd be trying to put the full court press on the juniors. Of course 2011 has had some extra adversity for us, and so we're a bit behind what we normally are. But still, it's time to put the full court press on your priority juniors, and I think we are as III has been spotted at various games for Ochefu. He would be our biggest recruit since Monroe.

As well as our best and most important! Sorry RB, couldn't resist. Must be silly season! But of course, you are right. Let's hope he verbals soon... if only to calm some of the agita on the board!

Daniel and Andre would be amazing down low! Add Kyle or Alex as the SF and one of the guards (JRobinson or DSR). One can dream...
