You know Louisville is putting on the full court press giving him a myriad of reasons as to why he has to commit NOW and not a week from now. We get this kid to the hilltop next weekend...he's ours and Louisville knows it.

I always thought FSU had been on him the longest and was the leader.

might decide in a few days now. Even if we can get him here, it seems like that probably won't be enough.
He makes the call now, he either fell in love with Louisville or saw what he needed to see and goes with FSU/Bama.
Louisville would suck because they're in the Big East, and also they came on even later than us. I don't think we can fault the effort Kirby/III have put in with him, though.

yeah it's not sounding good: "Hood, who had a tentative visit scheduled to Georgetown next week, told ___ Sunday that Florida State, Marquette and Louisville have emerged as his leaders and he could make a college decision in the next few days."
From other quotes in the article sounds like there's a very good chance he never makes it to Georgetown which sucks. I mean even if he does come it'll be a long shot, but it sucks to not even get a chance.

He was a longshot from the moment we started recruiting him once we brought on Kirby. I just hope the staff didn't put too many resources into the Hood recruitment because there was very little likelihood he was going to come here.

Nothing wrong with recruiting him hard these last days before the signing period. Bring him in for MM, show him the love and take it from there.

Rodney Hood to decide next week between Bama, FSU, L'ville, Marquette and Miss. State per his father.

Saw that Deuce Bello is visiting Florida State this weekend. Looks like Marquette, Louisville and Florida State are on both of their lists, which means there's a great chance that we'll see at least one of those guys for the next few years. Would prefer Hood choose a non-Big East school if possible.

The 6-8 senior has taken official visits this fall to FSU, U of L, Marquette, Bama and may make a trip to Georgetown this weekend. He's also made numerous unofficial visits to MSU. Some national recruiting analysts have pegged Florida State and Louisville as the schools to beat, but Meridian coach Randy Bolden indicated Wednesday that Hood is still mulling his options and doesn't appear certain of his choice. "Louisville has come on late," Bolden said. "He's had a great relationship with Coach (Leonard) Hamilton at Floroda State. I think Mississippi State is right in the hunt You can't ever count out (Bulldogs coach) Rick Stansbury." Hood plans to announce his decision next week, Bolden said."

If he DOES make it to DC, JT3 will have to WOW him and his dad. An uphill battle for sure. But, on the other hand, nothing to lose! Give it your best shot JT3! If not, there will still be plenty of other great kids at MM!

Longshots come in sometimes. If we get him to MM, we can at least give it our best effort and see what happens.

Getting anyone to MM, spending time with JTIII and quality team leaders like CW5, Sugar Free, and JVaughn, rubbing elbows with some of the top 2012 talent in the country in Anderson, Ochefu, and Bolden, and taking in a Wale conference will make a HUGE impression. We have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Rodney, just this to help you decide: www.slamonline.com/online/the-magazine/features/2010/10/what-rocks/"On the other side of the gym, a towering man with a gallant stride and arms like a condor walks off the floor. “G Money,” I say, referring to Monroe. “Yeah, he just finished working out,” Mex adds. I am not surprised to see him here. Patrick, Alonzo, Dikembe, Sleepy Floyd, Iverson, Jeff Green, Roy Hibbert, DaJuan Summers and pretty much any other former player you name all come back to McDonough to work out and pass on their wisdom to current players. That’s the way things work around here. That’s why Greg Monroe is here. I know that without even asking."

"Jonathan Wallace, a four-year starter and floor general for the Hoyas in their 2007 Final Four run is currently balancing stints on rosters in the NBDL, Euroleague and the GULC. Haven’t heard of the GULC? That’s because it’s not a league. It’s the Georgetown University Law Center. He’s enrolling there in the fall. And he’ll still be playing ball, too." So immensely proud to be a Hoya and Hoya fan.
