Another interesting quote from the Louisville Scout article:
“Alabama, Florida State and Marquette showed him everything he could ever want in a school. Georgetown is unique in the system they run and the history they have. Louisville is unique because they have one of the best coaches. All the coaches are good, but Coach Pitino brings something a little different in scheduling and facilities. Those things come into play when you talk about Louisville because its on a higher level.”

georgetown.scout.com/2/1005296.htmlWhile Louisville still has a chance to land a commitment from Hood, it's clear they'll have to overcome a few frontrunners in this recruitment. “Florida State [stands out] more so than anybody else, and Alabama, Marquette and Mississippi State are right there,” Hood said. “Louisville and [Georgetown] still have a little work to do. He needs to visit those schools. It's easy to fall in love with schools like Louisville and Georgetown because of the high-caliber of ball that they play. But I've told him to just focus on basketball, because all of them are going to have nice gyms, weight rooms, educational programs...the most important thing we need to focus on is the basketball and the head coach – his philosophy and how he deals with his players.” Hood is nearing the end of his recruiting process. He's going to make a couple more visits next month, but expects to sign during the early period, which begins in November. Hopefully he will focus on our basketball and not our nice gym and weight room ;D. Also, These next couple of years, I'll always have a smile on my face when I see a recruit list us and Miss St.

Hopefully he will also focus on the quality of education available to him, and the experiences open to him in the city. Washington, DC has a bit more to offer than Starksville or Tuscaloosa, just to name two.

Louisville took a commitment today from Angel Nunez, 6'7" small forward from New York - likely taking the Cards out of the running for Hood.

Just like Ohio State taking Laquinton Ross took them out of the running for Sam Thompson? Oh wait...Don't get me wrong, a rational person would come to the same conclusion. But don't try to use logic in the recruiting process. It will just frustrate you.

Hopefully the fact that Marquette jsut signed a small forward takes them out of the Hood running. Any new info on him. I would love to add him to this class.

Really hope Hood makes it to midnight madness and doesn't make a decision before we get a chance to make our pitch.

From what I know he made his visit to Louisville yesterday and is likely still there now. We can only hope and pray he doesn't declare this week.

I thought Louisville was the frontrunner for the Miller/Bello package.

The rumor on their end now is that baylor has moved into the lead I mean louisville has lost some interest and so Hood is their #1 priority over those 2.

Don't like the sound of that. Don't trust Louisville!
