In latest Scout article, Hood notes that he has set up two official visits in September: Georgia Tech and Florida State. Also notes that he has developed the best relationships at this point with the staffs at Georgia Tech, Florida State and Alabama. louisville.scout.com/2/993693.htmlNot great news. Hopefully we can get him on campus for Midnight Madness, but I personally think it will be difficult to overcome an early September football weekend in Tallahassee. Eh Greg Monroe attended an LSU football game for his official visit there the week before he visited us and committed, so it can be done.

According to Scout, Louisville is making a late push and Hood is considering making them one of his officials.

Judging from the article, it seems like the Hoyas are playing catch up as Marquette, Alabama, Mississippi State, Florida State and Georgia Tech are his front five, with Georgetown, Louisville and UCLA battling for his last official visit since it's assumed that MSU won't need one.
I wouldn't hold my breath.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Check tonyparker's post n first page of this thread. According to Scout, we were recruiting him the hardest. That's all JT3 can control. Cross your fingers...

Scout has an update with an interview with his father.
He has a clear top five of Florida State, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Mississippi State and Marquette with Louisville, Georgetown, UCLA, Ohio State and a few others involved to a "certain degree".

Hood just canceled a visit and added 2 new visits he wasn't scheduled to take according to scout. One of the new visits is to louisville. If we're not the second then I believe it's all over. anyone with scout want to check it out.

Well, you can't do anymore than get him on campus. The offer is already out there, so it'll be up to the kid. I doubt seriously if it'll matter who performs; it won't influence his decision.

Interesting that he's no longer going to Georgia Tech, as they were thought to be a real contender for his services.
Judging from the article, it now seems like it's a group of Louisville, Georgetown, Alabama, Florida State, UCLA, Mississippi State and Marquette.

Nothing's ever a sure thing in recruiting, but the mother being on our side is a very good thing.

georgetown.scout.com/2/1005296.htmlWhile Louisville still has a chance to land a commitment from Hood, it's clear they'll have to overcome a few frontrunners in this recruitment. “Florida State [stands out] more so than anybody else, and Alabama, Marquette and Mississippi State are right there,” Hood said. “Louisville and [Georgetown] still have a little work to do. He needs to visit those schools. It's easy to fall in love with schools like Louisville and Georgetown because of the high-caliber of ball that they play. But I've told him to just focus on basketball, because all of them are going to have nice gyms, weight rooms, educational programs...the most important thing we need to focus on is the basketball and the head coach – his philosophy and how he deals with his players.” Hood is nearing the end of his recruiting process. He's going to make a couple more visits next month, but expects to sign during the early period, which begins in November.
