Have heard he's opening it up not because he's blowing up but some of the schools he narrowed it down to moved on to other options. He's gotten great credit for trying to play the PG spot--but his success rate hasn't matched his effort. Credit the kid for realizing he's got to improve and sacrificing his numbers to begin to be a better player. He's been described to me by several as type of guard Hoyas just lost--which means good shooter/scorer, not most athletic and struggles on defense.

Guys, from observation, I think you don't have anything to worry about--highly doubt he ends up a Hoya.

MANY people feel this kid is overrated. That appears to be a growing consensus. RDF was one of the first that I can recall who took that stance.
I'm gonna guess if it came down to offering this kid for four years versus offering possibly Kenyi for two years (starting this upcoming season), RDF would be forced to side with the latter. ;D

He's a player who you either love/dislike his game imo. I can't stand the lack of defense--it's awful. Maybe I'm more annoyed by it considering what Georgetown just went through the past seasons of guards not defending being a major issue/concern. Also needs to have ball to get shot off and likes to hunt for shot too much for my liking. To be fair--many others love him and love him for Georgetown style of play. It depends when you see him play and what you value in a player.

I think DSR is recruiting us more than we are recruiting him. I do think people think he fits Gtown well but that's also because they equate the new Gtown with no defense.

I don't see it that way. Just like hs seniors have a first, second, third choice, JT3 has a #1, etc... At least that #1 has said that he will decide on an early and specific date (Sept 20th) instead of waiting much longer. DSR may know where he stands. So we'll see how it plays out pretty soon.

Do you think he has the athleticism to play solid D? I ask because I think with guys like Jabril, and Otto setting an aggressive tone would he be the kinda guy who would play D because the rest of the team was?

He asks if coach Brenan is back from China yet, because he wants to talk to him and he says he will be making a decision soon.

You sure we should be turning down 5 stars? He has some holes, but he's a seriously skilled offensive player.

if he wants to come take him....sorry...if we don't land Kyle which for whatever reason is looking more and more pessimistic to me based off of nothing what are we left with? This kid can flat out score. Having one player who isn't as good defensively is less obvious when you don't have a team full of similar lack of defensively minded players. I think III has set us up well to be able to cover for this.
