Very thick, strong powerful body.
To the untrained eye, he appeared to slow down just a bit heading into his shot, didn't get a lot of height on his jumper, and seemed to be just a little slow on the release.
Not sure what you can tell out of these workouts, but it is pretty clear to me, despite my critique, this kid has high major potential written all over him.
If he plays defense well and rebounds for his size, I'd take him in the Big East.

You been having conversations with Ben Howland, Billy Donovan, Jeff Bzdelik, Seth Greenberg, Frank Haith, Johhny Dawkins, Rick Barnes, Thad Matta, Kevin Stallings, and Gary Williams, among other lately?

Seems like ti and hoyajmw were right all along on this kid. My apologizes.
Hoya interest has definitely picked up. Could be too late though.

Arnaud's calling cards have been great rebounding and very strong defense, Ranch Dressing -- no worries on that front at all. The most interesting thing to me about the work-out video (thanks, Ti hoya), other than to note it's a rather portly Joe Toumou running it, is that the mechanics on Arnaud's jumper are VASTLY improved since the end of the Episcopal season. He formerly had a short-arm/shot put/almost knuckleball release, with wildly inconsistent results due to the lack of repeatability of the motion -- whereas now he shows pretty fluid stroke/release. Just more evidence of his upside as he works more/learns the game. And I hope you're right about our interest picking up, HoyaSinceBirth; the reason for my skepticism about being in the hunt for Arnaud has always stemmed from our lack of much push for him over the second semester, when he was hurt some and then inconsistent/trying too hard and forcing things at times. Combined with the few scholarships we had, I think we backed off as others kept active or became VERY interested. See this link from start of June for some more evidence (from Arnaud himself) as to who has been there consistently. www.bloggersodear.com/2011/6/1/2200551/adala-moto-a-deacon-priority Last note: The Nike Peach Jam tournament the second week in July should be on ESPN some, and will give everyone a chance to see Arnaud (and Takeover teammates/other potential Hoya recruits Beejay Anya and Jerami Grant) with their own eyes. According to fivestar basketball site (below) Team Takeover is the top ranked 17U AAU team in the country as of now, so even apart from our recruiting interest should be a great team to watch play and represent the WCAC, IAC and the DMV . . . fivestarbasketball.com/top25/23-17U-2011-06-22

hoyas big supporter - earlier this year, there was debate whether Adala-Moto, coming from a lesser hoops league like the IAC, would develop into a high major prospect. My comment was simply meant to support the reality now - that Adala-Moto will get a schollie from a big time program. You should teach me some day how to use emoticons - or maybe not! You da man!

Are HS players allowed to play in Kenner? There is also a high school component to Kenner League in which HS players compete against other HS players.

Okay, thanks for the update; they were at McDonough last year. More importantly, does the earlier post really mean that Moto was on Georgetown's campus then to watch Kenner?

Arnaud was at the games just to watch on Saturday (last half or so of Tombs; all of Clyde's) --maybe Sunday, too, but not sure. I wouldn't read more into his attendance though, than just his being a hoops fan with time on his hands/a long way from home over the Summer.

Peach Jam is of interest no matter who makes the Finals. Hoyas have numerous targets and realistically they have 2 serious targets on TakeOver right now--at least 2 who consistently have listed Georgetown--although it's wide open if they end up at GU--Robinson and Anya. Grant isn't coming and Moto hasn't listed them as of late at all.

I've never held much hope for Arnaud but I know the door is still open a crack there -- I don't think he will be deciding for quite a while in any case and between the Toumou connection and some other connections into Episcopal, think we could climb back into the running if we really wanted to (but I remain skeptical we do). Robinson or Anya would be great consolation prizes for not getting Arnaud or Grant though (no reason to disagree with you there at all). From what I've heard, Robinson really is the engine in Team Takeover . . .
