Greg will be OK in the league. Has to develop a few more skills and more muscle, then he will surprise everyone. Good luck, it's been a pleasure watching him improve under III.

1 example of getting punkedin abaksetball sense was when dorsey on memphis punked roy. He was strong and aggressive with roy and took him out of his game. I'm not sure I can think of an instance where this happened to greg like that. I guess maybe the WV BET game, but he still scored a lot and he only had trouble because they let WV foul him the whole game.

Blair punked out our entire front line when he out-rebounded our entire team. (That stat may or may not be accurate.)

That passivity was perhaps Roy's greatest weakness. Even Dorsey commented on how surprise he was that Roy never took it to him throughout the game.

A good writeup, though he doesn't really mention that Greg has zero jump shot despite being a high post player. Also, the comparison to Camby might be a good one but Camby was much more dominant in college, does have a midrange jumper and is an all-NBA defender. I think Greg can have a nice long career in the NBA, but he's not making any all-star teams. Compare him to a pre-murder Jayson Williams?

I think Greg has the potential to be an all star will he reach it , meh not as sure of that. But he can develop that jump shot and continue to improve his handle and other aspects of his game he can definitely get there. He's far from a finished project now.

this was pretty much inevitable but it's finally official: "NBA agent David Falk has signed projected lottery pick Georgetown F Greg Monroe 2 rep in the #NBA Draft."

dont be deliberatly obtuse................ Way to take 15 days to respond to a post. Did I get this in on time? It takes a while to match the thoughts and the letters for some. Mr. Sixer, "deliberately obtuse," is my bread and water ... or is that butter, or maybe circuses? Besides, it's hard to tell the deliberately obtuse from the indeliberately obtuse. Trust me. I took Remedial Ethics.

After watching Gasol/Odom in the triangle and Boozer/Millsap in Sloan's offense, I now hope that Greg goes to a team running the triangle instead of the pick-and-roll. I think his passing ability, vision, and ability to drive for a PF would do wonders in the triangle. Minnesota has Rambis and runs the triangle (or tries to) -- any chance they take Greg? where do they pick?

I don't see the Wolves drafting Greg--they already have two power forwards in Kevin Love & Al Jefferson--they really need a SG like Turner or, maybe Xavier Henry / James Anderson. Of course, this will probably be the year when they finally get the #1 pick, what with having taken two PGs last year.

Thanks TBird! I forgot they had both Love & Jefferson. They seem like clones of each other in terms of body size, athleticism, and position (should be PF). I guess Greg's out there and no chance for the Lakers to get him -- any other team run the triangle?
Turner would be a stud for Minnesota with Flynn and Love. That actually would be a team on the rise. Trade Jefferson for a tall athletic center (not polished obviously or everyone would want him) or a SF and you have a nice young starting lineup that would resemble Memphis this last year.
