Someone's done what? I haven't seen any flyers yet. We're starting the major flyering and putting up of signs tonight at 8:30. Right inside the door of Village C West there was a flyer posted up for the "Beat Villanova Pep Rally". Looks pretty official though, like the ones outside Leo's that say when the game is. Perhaps its from the athletic department or something like that. Edit: I guess I should call it a sign, not a flyer. It's not a print out on the standard 8.5x11, its a bit bigger and more professional... You know the kind I mean

Yeah, I do, that must have been the Athletic Department's work. Good to hear though.

Any chance there will be speakers and music at this pep rally?
If so, any chance we can play Nodak's songs there? ;D

One thing I just thought of: wouldn't this rally be better served on Saturday night instead of Friday? The one-day lag in between pep rally and game seems odd to me. The women's game is Saturday afternoon, so a Saturday night rally does no good for their game, which is part of it. I'm just very frustrated by this whole thing, because I already made plans for tomorrow night, so I won't be there (actually, ESPN is running the Super Bowl XXXIX highlights at the same time and I absolutely cannot miss those : . We knew this was a big game three days ago...why was this just planned yesterday? Seems like even when they try to do things right they manage to bungle them up.

I predict Ashanti and Brandon will parachute down from the roof of Harbin to greet the crowd. Jeff and Roy will come in on skateboards, and DJ and Wallace will be leading the rest of the team there with the band marching behind them playing "Roy!"

I think it is tough sometimes to schedule things for the team because the coaches are all doing various things during the week with recruiting, watching tape, etc. So, it may just take time for them to hammer out when everyone is available.

Maybe they could incorporate a crane from that construction area on the new performing arts building. I'm really pumped for the rally. I know this will sound insensitive but, I hope they dont spend too much time on the girls team. I'm pumped to cheer for the guys though. Will the guys, any of them, get a chance to speak, or just Coach?

I just checked the GAAP agenda, and they have nothing scheduled for tomorrow evening. I am going to e-mail their generic contact to see if they can plug the pep rally. It may increase yield.

Is there any way to get the message out to the DC Alumni Club? That's another route to pursue. I am on the board of the DC club - consider it done. I will also email the Class of 2003 as I have access to that list as well.

Thanks!!!!!!!! Every bit helps. It would be great if we filled up the patio and then some. There is always room up on the the VCW landing for latecomers.

Well, I spent all night with 007 and some Hoya Blue guys spray-painting various banners, hanging an informational one on the fence by the Jesuit cemetery, hanging the "BEAT NOVA" one in Red Square, and posting flyers for the rally in Red Square and in various dorms. I'll be sure to take pictures tomorrow.
Also, even though the pep band should be there, the HB prez asked me to come up with some music for the rally tom. Well, what better than Nodak 89's double platinum (ok, maybe eventually) 6-song (and counting) album, "What's A Hoya?"!! I also added in some hardcore rap, classic rock, and the Georgetown Chimes rendition of The Fight Song for the rally. No guarantees that they'll play my CD, but if they do, that's what you will here.
Anybody who's around (especially students), show up to the rally tomorrow and cheer on the Hoyas! It is sure to be a good time.
GO HOYAS!! BEAT NOVA!!
