He's 2011....the confusion stems from the fact he didn't play his freshman year.

this is older, but some good info. his father says doctors think he'll be at least 6'10". in the videos i've seen, i love the way he uses his off hand around the basket. very polished for such a young kid. maryland.scout.com/2/753057.html

I imagine his downside is somewhat like Lee Scruggs or something. Which is pretty good. His athleticism looks good -- but maybe not great for an NCAA-level player. Anyone seen him enough to tell. (In other words, very good for 6'8" to 6'10" but maybe not Stanley Robinson-jumping jack-esque).

His athleticism will come with time, I think. Strange as it sounds, you can teach athleticism - Jeff was much more athletic by the time he left. It is just a matter of taking what is there and working with it.
That said, the upside is clear as you say. This is a fantastic get.

different player than Lee Scruggs, who was a center who could shoot and fantasized about being a small forward. This kid IS a small forward, and It's about time we got some true length at that position.

that kid can flat out shoot the ball. Scout and Rivals has him at 2011. I hope he's 2011. He shoots the ball so well, he can play the two easy.
He looks like a top 50 kid. But he can't be. According to some, III can't recruit

I think we should probably wait until he officially verbals, just to be on the safe side. Still exciting news, though.

This kid IS a small forward, and It's about time we got some true length at that position. Good point. I just meant at very worst, he's a tall, long 3 that specializes in shooting and probably is a pretty good O rebounder. You seem to be implying that he's got some more handle and 3-like moves, which sounds excellent.

From Insider (confirmed 2012):
"Georgetown has landed a verbal commitment from small forward Jordan Goodman, Progressive Christian head coach Taj Hawkins confirmed on Tuesday to ESPN.com.
"Yes, that is true, Jordan has committed to Georgetown," Hawkins, who also coached Goodman last summer for the D.C. Assault travel club, said.
Hawkins also cleared up the confusion around Goodman's graduating class.
"He's a sophomore in the class of 2012."
. . .
"Jordan's got to get more consistent to really become a special player but the tools are there," Rankin added. "He'll remind Hoya fans of DaJuan Summers (Detroit Pistons)."

Scout, rivals, and espn have all confirmed. He has verballed. Of course he's a long way off from actually becoming a hoya.
Stll confused as to whether he's 2011 or 2012. scout lists him as 34th best prospect in 2011 rivals has him as a 2012.
I'd feel more comfortable if cox wasn't his main recruiter
