agreed on the UCONN/Texas views but have to admit I would not want to face Texas in the tournament.

Texas is a team you want to face if its a high seed, a team you want to avoid if its a mid to low seed.
Big game for Washington tonight. Go Dawgs! Beat Cal.

6 1/2 minutes in, St. John's pitching a 12-0 shutout over Louisville in front of a few dozen people at MSG. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) How much of a loss does MSG take on St. John's games? If something isn't changed in Jamaica then nothing is safe for the Johnnies in terms of conference realignments

At the half, Samardo Samuels has 14 of Louisville's 23 points. Maybe Pitino is already mentally coaching the Nets. Him plus Evil Russian Mark Cuban would be a fantastic combination.

I love Norm Roberts, but I'm shocked that he hasn't had more recruiting breakthroughs at this point of his tenure.

So with 10:30 to go and SJU up 51-34 on a 11-0 run, Pitino calls timeout (about 2 mins after his previous TO).
One of this changes during the TO is bringing in Peyton Siva.
Who promptly throws away an entry pass, then clobbers the SJU player on the fast break for a three-point play.

Louisville fans were rooting for Nova to beat the Hoyas because they were so confident they could beat Gtown in Louisville and pass the Hoyas in the BE standings. Isn't that funny, especially tonight?

I hate to psychoanalyze games. But on the day that the Pitino to the Nets stories surfaced, this sure looks like we're quitting on you because you're about to quit on us. Louisville can't be THIS bad, can they?

How many people were at the Garden tonight? 5000? Truly sad -- they need to move on from Norm Roberts ASAP. Nice guy, but it's just ain't working.

Can't believe a Pac 10 game is actually on an ESPN network.

Louisville fans were rooting for Nova to beat the Hoyas because they were so confident they could beat Gtown in Louisville and pass the Hoyas in the BE standings. Isn't that funny, especially tonight? Yeah, Louisville just looked straight out awful tonight. But you know, not a "we're not as talented as our opponent" awful. More like a "I guess I have to at least take my girlfriend to dinner so I can break up with her" awful, where no party really wants to be there but are going through the motions. Well, maybe being generous on going through the motions. If only Cuse's 2-3 zone were as passive as Louisville's tonight! My goodness how many times is a guard just going to dribble through the front door straight to the rack. No need to worry about finishing--UL wasn't going to hit the defensive glass either. UL has "off" games every year it seems...but they're usually around New Year's Day, not in mid-February. I mean, technically Louisville is only 1 game back of us in the loss column...but the Cards still have a double dip looming against Syracuse which starts on Saturday at the Dome. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) They don't steal one of those and 11-7 is their ceiling. Good night for us--two teams in the "bubble zone" (the 6-11 BET seeds) lost to two teams in the lower 4. Updated BET seeds ( moving up)/( moving down): (9) Cincinnati/(16) Depaul vs. (8) Notre Dame --------------> (1) Syracuse (12) Seton Hall/(13) Providence vs. (5) Pittsburgh ----------------> (4) Georgetown (10) South Florida/(15) Rutgers vs. (7) Louisville -----------------> (2) Villanova (11) Connecticut/(14) St. John's vs. (6) Marquette -----------------> (3) West Virginia
