Competition for PT between Benimon and Lubick next year? Where does Henry fit in?

Competition for PT between Benimon and Lubick next year? Where does Henry fit in? Depends on Henry. He's a young sophomore. Maybe by next year, Henry gets it and makes a Vaughn-esque jump. Who could have told us that his minutes and play would go down from his freshman year? It will be interesting to see. He's looking better in the BET.

Nice problem to have. And we have a lot of options for matchups next year going small or big. I can't believe we haven't talked about depth at all this year!

I don't want to start a new thread since the following is on topic, but I want to keep the following link around for the off-season just in case the subject comes up. For all the talk about the recent well-publicized transfers (Nikita, Wattad, Rivers and Macklin) that we've had, here's an article on Duke's transfer woes. It makes our transfers look like nobodys, well except McD AA Macklin. Please link this to the Comments section of any article that mentions/implies our transfers as a bad sign for GU's program. Here's the article: bleacherreport.com/articles/310680-olek-czyz-joining-the-ever-growing-list-of-duke-transfers

Talk about transfers: Do you guys think this year will be without any off- season defections?? I am thinking of a player or two that might bolt due to lack of minutes next year.. Any thoughts??

I have a feeling we won't see anyone leave this year. We have 3 sophs who have been getting more minutes lately, and Henry as a young kid who is still growing into his body and his game, and who seems to love being one of the guys. They will definitely have to work their butts off in the off-season and fight for their minutes next year, but that could be a wonderful problem to have.

That arkansas team with Scotty Thurman and Corliss was pretty sick back in the 90's. I remember them beating gtown in the second round. That was the "40 minutes of hell" era for arkansas bball. I like the sound of Lubick...can't wait for him to produce as a hoya We'll have to call it "Forty minutes of Hoya" - or maybe just "Hoya Paranoia".

Yeah, I don't see it (transfers) happening either. Even though we have, at most, 1 departure, and, at least, 3 additions. Team chemistry seems to be very good, and I bet that plays a role.

Yes, after watching the team's (Henry's) demeanor during time-outs, I don't think we will have one this year.

If Greg comes back, can we redshirt Henry next year and then have two years from him after that? Does there need to be an injury or can a player just decide that they don't want to play for a particular year and retain their eligibility? I'm only half-joking.

Henry seems to be one of those rare kids who can accept exactly who and where he is in the scheme of things and that it is up to him to improve and change that.

If Henry's Tweets are a barometer, he's happy at Georgetown. Henry will get significant minutes next year.

hOYAINSPIRIT, Please tell me how Hank is going to get more minutes next year. If GM stays the same team is coming back with the same minutes.
Bench minutes are going to be hollis, Jerelle, more for VEE, and What ever lubick and Starks get. Unless he leaps Jerelle he wont see much playing time..
Remember just because hes a jr doesnt mean he automatically is entitled to more minutes.. If you think hes going to improve, what gives you that indication?? Sorry...

Well, first of all, Greg Monroe is almost certainly bolting for the NBA. Henry has also looked better lately, and if he continues to improve (say, a Vaughn like improvement), he will definitely see lots of playing time.

EtomicB- Im sorry to say something negative on such a totally positive day, but I dont see any improvement in Sims. Hollis, YES, Jerelle, YES, Vee, check, Even Stephka sure.. But sorry Sims is lost. Dont you get teh clue when everyone else gets minutes and he gets the last 40 seconds.. It cant be more clear to me..

No offense but you do it continually when it comes to Henry, I say just let it go for awhile. To me there's no need to debate anyone who says anything remotely positive about the kid.
