Exams as an excuse always makes me laugh...yeah "we are georgetown", but I was there for academics and rarely opened the books. Lets not act like these guys were burning the midnight oil at the library. We just came out and thought we would dominate. We were wrong. Hopefully its a lesson for the boys (like they need any more lessons after last year), and at least the final score is not an complete embarassment. Yeah... you were there for academics and didn't have to put in all of the time in the gym. Have a little respect for how hard these guys have to work to do both. Exactly. I wasn't in the library every night either, final exam period is the one time when everyone has to buckle down.

Who is our point guard anyway? It sure as hell wasn't Wright. Nobody seems to understand the P offense...but III just can't read the writing on the hardwood. ' You're a broken record. Come back when you have a new thought. What a bevy of comments...and the season has just started!! the Hoya tradition is being killed inexorably by a slavish adherence to yesterday's basketball theory. This will not end well. The recruits are smelling something rotten in Denmark. They are saying "the hell with backdoor cuts!). We look turgid, lost, leaderless. We are a joke...the Mc D AAs are suddenly nowhere to be seen. And worst, the buzz around Alums is getting downright scary. One more season of excuses, one more season of 40+ point games, one more season of kids (and coaches) leaving the program, one more season of seeing how outdated we are....and then we can get religion, make choices, and start the long climb back to reality. We're Ivy League basketball...the big boys are and will continue to eat our lunch. (Eureka: they actually have a low post presense!!! See Pitino. See Kansas. See the rest of the big boy world) Where are you Sleepy Floyed, where are you...?? Is it really darkest before the Dawn? Is this guy even a hoyafan? If so, it is clear to me that he is not a fan of our coach! Maybe it is someone who has a bone to pick with Coach, but it is obvious he wants to lay the blame at the feet of the coach, no matter what! Thanks for stringing these comments together KC and pointing our the HATER..

This was a "good" loss. Did lots of bad things, but they're correctable. Gives the team a wakeup call heading into BE play. Saw some heart with the comeback at the end. I have no problem with how this game played out. agreed. I actually expected to lose this was going in after last week. Lots to improve on, whats new? Yup the comeback was pretty good too. Just make a few front ends or a few more open looks or a few less turnovers. It'll give coach something to yell at them about.

DFW... if you don't want to hear it, don't read the posts. It was a bad game. That's all. They were flat until halfway through the second half and careless with the ball. And they did, in fact, have a lot going on this week and had maybe one full team practice. ODU is decent. They shouldn't beat Georgetown on any week (even finals week). But they did. Just a bad game. Nothing more. Missing 7 of its last 8 free throws AT HOME is a huge red flag for this team.

RB for the NY Giants back in the 90s. Someone was asking who were the announcers. For some reason, I wrote Spencer instead of Mark.
If you are in SLC, UT, you always get snow. Here in NYC, this is the largest snowstorm in three years. Watching the window, the game and the computer is true multi-tasking.

He's not the only hater that think of themselves as fans. That's the sad part.

Because watching the game would not have led you to spew the Chris Wright stuff. I think you were only duo-tasking cuz you couldn't have been watching the game.

Normally I'd agree, but Chris and Jason have both been lights out from the line, and they both missed. Julian and Greg seem to be a crap shoot up there, and Greg is guaranteed to miss at least 1 front end.
But man, what careless passing. Just when I had made it a point to repeatedly praise how good our entry passing was looking, we threw away WAY too many of those.

Would have loved to see Vee inthe game. Perhaps he could have lit a match or certainly have used his speed in playing some D on the perimeter. Those open threes at the end of the 1st half and the beginning of the 2nd half were tough to come back from. The team looked great playing aggressive D at the end of the 2nd half. Maybe should have tried it a little earlier.

Discuss the game, not the other posters. How about, discuss the game, not blindly trash the offensive system. Or discuss the game, not Kevin Braswell.

IMO, CW just didn't appear focused. He clearly passed up every open three, at which point the team stop passing to him on the perimeter. You would agree that that is where JWall excelled. My opinion then is if he isn't going to shoot and make the three, and does not act as a true PG, then what really is his role? Not spewing, just a simple question that begs for an answer.

I also was impressed with how our guys fought back at the end. But at the same, it's disgraceful how they played for the majority of the game. There is no excuse for the lack of energy and stagnation on offense that we saw tonight. The fact that the team is even capable of such a miserable performance is distressing. No top 25 team should have a 25-30 minute spell of such terrible basketball, offensively and defensively.

I have to stick up for Chris a little: he had 7 assts (more than everyone else combined), 4 rebs, and only 2 fouls. Sure, he was abysmal from the field (2-8/0-3) and I don't know WHAT was with that free throw, but it wasn't ALL bad.

How can you be sure that was due to a lack of focus? Maybe the coaches told him to stop shooting as many threes and he took it too far and passed up open shots? That's why the season in 30+ games. To keep working on these issues.
