bump for the inevitable Pearl firing.
"Ware said that the two programs he most strongly considered in addition to Tennessee were Georgetown and Georgia Tech."
"Georgetown was too far away, Florida stopped recruiting me once, and the only reason they started up again was they lost a player, and I only talked to Miami four or five times."
If he wants to take a look around, have to think having Kirby on the staff this time around would be beneficial.

even if the report tonight is false, only a matter of time UT AD.. "I think that we've done a lot of soul-searching about the direction of our program and we'll continue to do that, and we'll decide after we're out of the NCAA tournament what the direction is we'll go next," Hamilton said." My guess in a situation like this , is the staff (also guilty) will more than likely be cleaned out as well. they also have another guard for the 2011 class, Chris Jones that was listed with Mississippi State previously (Kirby) Ware..

Pearl clearly will not be canned on the eve of the NCAA Tournament, but I'll be shocked if he is retained, even if Tennessee is in the $EC.
This could be interesting, although we're no closer to Ware's home now than we were a few months back.

they also have another guard for the 2011 class, Chris Jones that was listed with Mississippi State previously (Kirby) This, to me, seems like more of a need. However, guy was kicked out of on of his high schools this year, and has jumped around a lot. Small too. Another thing to remember, of course, is that the more high profile the program that releases its coach, the more likely that additional recruits shake loose. In other words, the Tennessee job is a fairly good job. Tennessee may be able to pick up a coach that is currently at another high major. That can open up more recruits. This happens a few places and all of a sudden theres a lot of talent on the market. I do expect that our 2011 recruiting isn't done, for anyone who thought it might be.

Looks like today is the day for Pearl. Knoxville radio host says Pearl has been informed he's fired.
Ware already had told someone on twitter that if Pearl is out of Tennessee, so is he.

I highly doubt Kevin Ware ends up at Georgetown.

FWIW, ESPN crawl about him getting out of LOI mentioned 6 schools, and did not include GU.

Isn't he more of a SG anyway? Where did we get this notion that he is a PG from?
*Being honest here, I dont follow recruiting much and little I do pick-up is from here

In the latest Scout update with Ware, he says Hoyas are recruiting him since he reopened. Sounds like Louisville might lead, but he's also being recruited by Georgia, Florida State, Kansas and UCLA.

Isn't any 2011 recruit a moot discussion given we just signed Otto and are -1 scholly at the moment?
