Would love to get this kid....especially if another scholly opens up. We were certainly on him as hard as anyone...perhaps we are the mystery 3rd school. Back in 2009 he said the following as to why he didn't pick us and others who offered:
"Georgetown was too far away, Florida stopped recruiting me once, and the only reason they started up again was they lost a player, and I only talked to Miami four or five times."

ESPN is reporting that Ware confirmed he is playing for UCF: "At the recent Derby Classic, Kevin Ware was introduced as an uncommitted prospect during player introductions. That omission sparked a wave of "Ware has decommitted" rumors and eventually led to whispers the guard could possibly renege on Donnie Jones and commit to Louisville. Through all the speculation, Ware has remained silent and now reaffirms he is still UCF-bound. Since Isaac Sosa has announced his intention to transfer, Jones and the coaching staff may try Ware at point guard. While not known for his jump shot, Ware does have the size (6-foot-5) to see over opposing guards and though he has had some problems with turnovers, using Ware at the 1 could prove to be a severe matchup problem." Decommited from UCF. Plans to focus on school and make sure his grades are solid. Then he will see who's still interested. He said that he's "interested in anyone who's interested in him". Should we be interested? He says grades weren't the issue, but if they are, my guess would be we shouldn't.

Love how many Hoya fans want him--but two of his weaknesses: Ball Handling Basketball IQ Don't think he'd see much time in the "system" with those being weakpoints.

Not to mention the fact that we don't have a spot for anyone else for next season.

Not to mention the fact that we don't have a spot for anyone else for next season. If a player they want really wanted to come--they will make room.

I still do not believe that our staff would cut a kid loose. I know that many of you would WANT them to, and think that they should, but I just don't feel that it would happen.
