as per ESPN he is declaring at the McD game - if I were a St.J fan I am not sure I'd be happy about the following quote:
"I want a coach that's going to push me, the players surrounding me are good, and I just want to have a chance to win the tournament," Stephenson at Madison Square Garden. "So I'm picking by that."

Yeah ur right. If I had to guess based on that quote, I would say Kansas.

From what people are saying about him, he sounds a lot like Steve Francis. I can't see how Maryland isn't perfect for him.

It's funny how people trash this kid while 2 threads down everyone roots for us to land someone else who hasn't shown the basic academic ability to attend a 4-year college yet. Hypocrisy at its finest. Me, I'd take them both and some more wins!

I thought he said he wanted to go to a place where he had a chance to win the tournament? Why would he go to Maryland?

looks like the rivalry with the redmen is heating back up. I'm pretty Editeded at them after this last year. Sure it was more our fault than theirs but i'm still Editeded at them too.

Is this true? Can't find it reported anywhere - why would he commit now anyway? I thought he was waiting to see where all the other recruits fall...

Apparently Mike DeCourcey of The Sporting News went on Kansas City radio this morning and said Stephenson has committed to KU, but they haven't announced it because the admissions department still needs to approve his transcripts. Take it FWIW...IMO, not sure this guy is worth the trouble for the one year he's going to give to any university.
