Best in the class my a$$. I am not a guru and I dont follow all players, but I definitely have followed Lance. Like I said, his flaws are noted. And his size is not impressive on the wing at the collegiate level, nor is his athleticism. His J is broke too. I will say that "bust" was a little harsh, but it is relative. I say bust relative to the notion that he would have gotten drafted this year. But for those that believe he will turn this program into a winner ala OJ at USC are dreaming. Just watch!!

O.J. didn't turn USC into a winner, when he got there they were already a winning program. He had a mediocre season by most standards and they lost to K-State in the 2nd round of the tourney. If they had gotten to the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 I would have considered that a successful season for them, but considering they just went to the 2nd round this year w/o O.J. and Demar Derozan is nowhere near as good as O.J. Mick Cronin is also not on the hotseat at Cincy considering he just signed a 2 year extension with them earlier this month.

so is there anyway cinci could get in trouble for any of lance's stuff. Or is the only risk that the wins that he plays in will be thrown out.

If he ever makes it onto the court--he'll help them. The kid is a good player and needed to get out of NYC. Too many hangers on/bullcrap to live up to--and I hope he excels because when he plays to his highest level--he's an excellent player and makes his team better. His court vision/passing ability is underrated and I don't get the guy who said he can't shoot--with Lance it's about shot selection--he's type of guy who can go on a 12-0 run by himself when he's on--and just because his recruitment turned into a circus and he had a mediocre season for someone of his talent--doesn't mean he has none.

I agree he has shown an ability to score...never questioned that so the fact that you saw him go on a 12-0 run alone doesnt refute my point in that he is not a good shooter. I have watched him go 3/19 when playing against guys his size and he wasnt able to bull his way to the bucket. In any event, the guy is a talent so I am not taking that away from him. But again, to belabor the point, he is not worth what he comes with and it is my opinion that you wont see the type of dominance that is expected of him b/c his game does not translate to the collegiate ranks as effectively. Furthermore, OJ averaged 20.7 ppg, shot 40% from 3, and 44% from the field in his frosh yr. That Im sure counts as a successful season regardless of what scale one measures success with. Being from LA, i know how long SC had been on the bubble trying to become relevant again in the shadow of UCLA. Mayo put us over the hump, BOTTOM LINE.

I mean this is neither the time nor place to argue about O.J. Mayo, but I'd say I expected more from him, that is all. Mediocre was a vast exaggeration by me, but still. Also, SC did not step out of the shadow of UCLA and still hasn't. But again, that's a matter of opinion.

I'm pretty excited to face him a couple of times this year. Needless to say, he will bring some exposure to a Cincy program that needed some kind of catapult. For better or for worse, Cincy is now worth watching.

C'mon, Lance. Most Bearcats wait until they get on campus to commit crimes.

C'mon, Lance. Most Bearcats wait until they get on campus to commit crimes. Looks like Lance was ahead of the curve for a change.

yes..hamilton's in summer school already in Austin. As a side note, Shawn Williams is likely to redshirt for the Horns..pretty sure this now belongs in the the pro & college column if this topic evolves anymore.
