beb,
Our recruiting can soon get to where we don't have to play small ball again. Where players like Hollis and Anderson can play the 3, where a wing like Trawick or Bowen (or Freeman) is always a 2.
Fun.

I'd be absolutely floored if he went to Kentucky....From an interview I saw from him his favorite team growing up was UNC....and he seems to want to playin the ACC....So as for us I'd be waaaay more concerned about UNC than Kentucky. He'd fit in anywhere but i dont see Cal going yeah thats the kid i need cause he isnt a leaper and quick.

Kyle Anderson was "Front row at the Xavier game" for when they lost to Bellarmine last night. That can't hurt lol.

Zagoria was peddling Rutgers for the entire interview.
Most indicative part of the interview was what Hurley said. Mentioned Gtown first after the teams Zagoria listed and he said Kyle wants to go to a school that values ballhandling and all-around basketball players. I think we have a great shot of landing Kyle.

had the same thoughts.
while he hasn't given an official list, one would assume that we'll be in it until the end.

God, that was shameless by Zagoria.....he's the kind of cat that will ask about Rutgers, ask about Rutgers and ask about Rutgers, and if Anderson says, "yeah I like them too", his next blog will say "Rutgers leads for Anderson's services".
I hate the recruiting process

In fairness, Zags could think that Cox can't recruit so why not pick up the slack?

But Hurley was quick to mention Georgetown and Wake. This kid is the ideal player for our system and Kyle knows this as well.

This is the player I covet the most out of Class of 2012. I sure hope we can land him.
I thought it was strange that Zagoria's first question pertained to St. Anthony's being a Reebok school rather than a Nike School (Patterson Catholic). Struck me as odd.

Is Anthony Perry the last kid who played for Bob Hurley to end up at Georgetown?

Is Anthony Perry the last kid who played for Bob Hurley to end up at Georgetown? How many others have they gone after?

I believe APerry is the last (and perhaps only) from St. Anthony's (NJ).

I would not consider Perry's experience at Georgetown, from a pure basketball standpoint, to be a huge positive. But that was a long time ago. And it appears that Hurley recognizes JTIII's ability to develop kids who have all-around skill sets, like Kyle.
