Yawner. This will be the first championship game I can remember where I do not watch the second half.

Apparently the Bum was a bit off- it is actually Carolina and the 64 dwarfs.

Horrid ballhandling by MSU in the first half. If they had played that way in any of their previous four games, they would have lost. Too bad they saved their worst for last, because they clearly needed to be on top of their game to have any chance against UNC.

Lawson with 10 pts, 5 ast and 8 stl with 7:33 to go - legit shot at a triple double. Carolina is a totally different team with him on the floor.

When I saw Thabeet sitting in the crowd, the first thing that popped in my head was, "Well, we know he's not going to class..."
Thank god that's over and done with. JTIII has a week or so to get some people on board for next year.

Worst Final Four ever! Not one competitive game.
A complete waste of 9 hours.

Thus concludes the least eventful NCAA tournament i can ever remember. In my book it probably ranks close to last or last out of the NCAA tournaments in the past 25 years. No Georgetown, blow out in the final and virtually no memorable games (Nova-Pitt was great but that's about it).

When I turned that game on, I was really thinking, "If Shaw, O'Neill, and Greene can combine for 50 tonight, then that's all I really care about." And they did. And really, what more can you ask for than a game that has 50 foul shots, 69 free throws, and absolutely no flow or rhythm whatsoever? That's what basketball is all about.

Rockaway--it's frigging Jimmy C and UConn, you think him missing class matters there? They have a damn player who doesn't have a grade from the school since '07 STARTING (Stanley Robinson). If anything--this makes it certain Thabeet returns and is nominated for All Academic Big East.

Texas-Duke was pretty good, too, although the bad guys ended up winning.

Yeah, both of those were good ones. I heard a stat that 41 of the 63 games were double digit victories and that only 4 of the games were decided by 4 points or less. I handn't really noticed that much but come to think of it, it wasn't the compelling attraction that it could have been.

This was a boring game. And Greg Anthony and Seth Davis both picked MSU to win. They didn't mention their picks at halftime. Cowards (although I like Greg as he went to the same elementary school as my son and also went to the Univ. of Portland for his first year).
I was more interested in seeing Danny Green (same HS as mine), but he was in foul trouble most of the game and only scored six points.

If you want to see a great college team, watch the UConn/Louisville game tonite. I know that I live in UT/Pat Summitt country, but the UConn women is one of the all time great baskettball teams, men or women....Go Big East.
