I can't remember the last time I saw a UCONN team get so dismantled on the glass. Thabeet, although he scored his points, just seemed to get thrown around even in the physical play. I don't think he is tough enough for a 7'3" player in the BE. He's certainly not in the same conversation as Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, and even Hibbert IMO.

The real question- Does Calhoun retire now? NCAA breathing down his back( which could lead to nothing, or his reputation being ruined), best chance for a while he will have to win his third NCAA Championship, deteriorating health, and already said he will go after the third championship. Third final four enough?

Oh no--a profile on Victor Page--i see him at least once a week--I am a Crim Defense Attorney in DC. This can not be good for Gtown.

I'm hoping for a Michigan St-UNC final four, give UNC a taste of being a visitor in an NCAA game with all the home games they are give. How seet would it be to see UNC fans complain about homecourt advantage and lose the biggest game in their last 4 seasons because of it?

I was stunned by the Nantz/Kellogg shilling of Calhoun and his "clean dossier." Most CBB fans know better, but casual observers do not and will buy in to that nonsense.

AJ Price was awful. Thabeet was disappointing. Calhoun got his pants coached off by Izzo.

UConn played out of control with way too many turnovers; free throws were awful; they got nothing from Austrie but bad missed shots. You can't depend on Adrien to win games on the offensive end. Thabeet is great, but he's still too raw to carry his team in a game like this. Expecting Kemba Walker to replicate his regional final performance was also too much to expect.
No surprise that Izzo is a better game coach than Calhoun. If UConn's defensive pressure doesn't work there is usually no plan B.
It sure must be nice to be able to invite 20-30K local fans to root for you at your Final Four home games. That was worth about 5 points tonight.

This game looked so bad that I watched a large chunk of Calhoun's press conference on ESPN News. I assume he's often bitter and defensive, but I'd never seen him that rattled. For lots of reasons, he sure looks done to me.
