freeman is the only one who looks comfortable running the break. sapp has had some uncharacteristic turnovers. clark needs to pass it back when running a 2 on 1 break.

Chris Wright is a solid player. But he is not the second best point guard in the Big East. He is, however, the second best point guard on the Georgetown team to Jessie Sapp.

Sloppy with ball and sloppy overall--manhandled on boards--not a good combo.

Don't think the team looks flat at all--think they look like a young team who is small on frontline. Backcourt has been sloppy with ball a bit--but they've also shown some good flashes of scoring off defensive stops/getting some easy hoops. Monroe is the best player on this team--BY FAR---not just for the results-but how he sees/plays the game. Intelligent player and fun to watch. He plays at a pace/thinks the game as I'd like to see Summers--who looks like he's trying to do everything too fast--just relax and play the game. Julian Vaughn looks like a guy who is also in a hurry-take time and just play. He's had 2 plays he should've scored easy--but rushed it. Henry and Jason look like they've got some jitters. Sapp did what he does--and I really think we'll see the offense look much better in 2nd Half. Scary thing about season-how small/easy it is to pound this team on glass--and fact Greg is only big on team who plays big--or can play big. If he's in foul trouble, this team is in trouble. DaJuan needs to focus on each play and remember-you only get 2/3 pts per basket--he looks like he's trying to do way too much--just calm down and play ball. Rest takes care of itself. Like the hustle/defense and figured we'd see something like this and will until everyone gets more games under the belt. Always different when young team plays away from home court. Still expect a nice offensive half coming up and more relaxed team. [/quot ummm...we don't look flat?? we're just outhustled, out rebounded, and outplayed.

Yes we have looked sloppy but it's hard to say we're outplayed when we haven't given up the lead yet the entire game

Greg Monroe's last rebound was HOW you go GET THE BALL! Great job.
Chris Wright's having a tough game--after a nice start by him--just needs to keep playing.
Team is going to look a lot smoother as season progresses--but some ugly moments/games will be painful to watch--at times. Fun part--they'll get better and this type of atmosphere/tournament is how you do that.

Yes we have looked sloppy but it's hard to say we're outplayed when we haven't given up the lead yet the entire game not when we're the #16 team in the country struggling to beat a team that's supposed to finish near the bottom of their mid-major conference. i'd be shocked to hear JT3 say he was impressed with our poise and hustle. we've been outrebounded, outhustled, and without freeman/monroe picking up our slack, we'd be out of the game already.

too many turnovers, not enough rebounding. I like what sapp and freeman are doing. Monroe is balling. Wright needs to be more careful with the ball. Summers is stepping up in the 2nd half
Thank God Sapp is stepping up and drawing these offensive fouls late in the game or we'd be f'd in the a

Good to see DS step up in 2nd half. Scored all 14 of his points. Did Greg get any points in 2nd? I remember one great rebbie, but the only possessions he had, he rushed it a bit. Got to play much better vs Tenn.

First non-home game, so maybe they got this out of their system. Let's see if they can play better tomorrow.

Chris played terrible today. We did a terrible job rebounding. Our three point shooting on the whole is awful. Decision making needs work. Greg Great first half played like a freshman in the second. Dajuan played terrible in the first half but stepped it up big in the second.
So much bad mojo from the pregame talk about how easy this would be for us.
Hopefully this was a wake up call and we come out prepared tomorrow.

Who cares about rankings--and who says Georgetown is #16 in country? Nobody knows. Key is to get better and that is what this event will do for the team. It's obvious that team lacks interior presense outside of Greg Monroe--but thing about basketball--name the best rebounders on '87 Hoya team and how "big" they were? That would be Reggie Williams and Perry McDonald. It doesn't take size to be a great rebounding team--it takes collective effort and toughness--and I saw that in team at times--but not enough--which is why you play competition/tough games--to let the team know what needs to be worked on.
I liked the team's poise and finding a way to overcome their mistakes--some of which will be easily corrected--others need time/experience.
