Well, this is bad news. It will be interesting to see where he ends up - closer to home or not.

Note to Henry - I am sure you've got a great 3 point shot - (especially for a guy your size) and we are happy to have you launch it 10 to 20 times a season. While we love the enthusiasm and all beleive that you are going to be a balla... your going to be sitting a lot more than you'd like if every time you enter a game the first time you touch the ball you launch a three. Be patient, play defense, rebound, work hard, learn the offense... your time will follow. Thanks man. I'll definitely try. Regards, Henry Sims

Bumped to say that Riley will be at the Georgetown game tomorrow....
aaaasssss a Syracuse recruit.
For the most part reactions among Hoya fans to DR's de-commitment were pretty tame. But if he backed out of signing with Georgetown and ends up at Cuse, I imagine he'll take a verbal beating at the Verizon Center for the next 4 years.

WOW that is worst place that he could of chosen (obviously). this sucks, i wanted to follow the kid because i thought he had a good future (possibly) but if he goes to SUcks i wish all the worst.

Maybe he'll see that we don't have a true inside presence and that he can play 20+ minutes next year with us.

I don't recall Syracuse even being in the mix originally? Were they?
Maybe Deven$#@% will take him out tonight and show him a good time.
I'm with you jgalt - wish him all the best, unless he ends up in syracuse. Still nothing personal just general ill will toward the team. I'm sure you guys understand.

Per scout.com RIley is down to Syracuse and Marquette and will make a decision at the end of his hs season. The text in the article implies he really wants to play in the Big East, but is looking for assurances that he will get time immediately. That is something he did not get from G'Town and seems to be getting from those schools.
Good luck to him though. Hoyas will be fine.

Umm... who cares? And I like that playing time isn't promised to anyone. Way to be a team guy asking for guaranteed minutes. Sounds like a nice fit for the Orange if that's the case.

Better go to Marquette if that's the case. He's not going to get a ton of PT with Onuaku or Jackson returning.

I'm pretty sure he'd receive playing time immediately here. If Monroe and Summers leave, that front line is tissue paper thin.

some of us happen to be curious what happens to the kid. just because he isnt coming doesnt mean he isnt a good kid. if you dont care, dont read the tread. And just because he might be a good kid doesn't mean we won't boo the crap out of him when he shows up as a member of another Big East team after having had committed to GU Having said that, I am glad he is not coming, even if he could have helped, because the last thing this team needs is a player who does not want to be here (whether due to unhappiness with PT, the system, or whatever).

YOOOOO...dont read it if you dont care. It seems like a real simple concept. If others sat back and asked that threads be locked up every time someone wrote something someone did not care to read...you get my point. Perhaps you should read the topic before you read the text and if you dont care, dont open. Much more effective use of your time anyway.
