Is it me, or have there ever been as many out of town TV watching threads as there are for this game?
Didn't want to start a new thread, but couldn't help notice yet another sign of improvement in the program.
One of my buds who has tix with me at MCI commented on Boswell's quote of JTII (I made the game ugly, JT III makes it pretty):
"I can't think of a better way to succintly describe the difference between the two...happily for us, both result in winning.
That said, I don't care how they beat BC...even if it takes a 2 x 4 with some stray nails."
GO HOYAS!!!
NCCT, have a Harpoon IPA for me, alright? ;D

I can tell you all this much: its safe to say that two dozen or so posters from this message board are more excited about this game than the entire BC student body. Nobody talks about the hoops team outside of:
X: "Hey, we won again. We're undefeated." Y: "Really? Yay! Go Eagles!"
Its really pathetic. I've also been told by people who frequent the games and Conte Forum that there are the obligatory first few rows of the student that goes nuts, the few rows behind them that generally cheer in the right spot, and that's about it. Crowd sits on its hands unless its a key situation (i.e. the comeback against 'Nova). I'm confident that if we get...oh...say 350-400 Hoya fans in that place, we can really leave our marks, especially when we are united in our "OVERRATED" chant with 3 minutes left in the game, and the Hoyas up by 15. That or my personal all-time favorite, "Na, na, naaaa, naaa... na, na, naaa, naaaa... hey, hey, heyyyyy.... GOOOOOOODBYYYYYYE!!!"
A loud taunting awaits all my stupid "double-Eagle" classmates on Monday after we beat 'em.
LET'S GO HOYAS

I've got tickets from one of these double-eagles so you can count two less Eagles fans in Conte.
I can't even concentrate on work right now - all i can think of is the game.

I am about to do my day before the game ritual, which is to listen to nodak's songs on repeat for the entire evening. I only listen one time through on game days and watch the previous game's highlights, if available. This hasn't let me down yet. Talk about not being able to think straight...

You ever have that realization, the one where you thought you were a big fan and a little off-kilter, and then someone says something that makes you realize that you're not? Just had that.

LOL... Glad I helped you out. ;D Anyway, that's saying something because your posting rate far eclipses mine on here and HoyaReport.
I make no apologies for being superstitious. Wade Boggs ate fried chicken or something before every game he played. That's pretty stupid too.

For the record, according to my itunes, 1984 is the most frequently listened to song over the past month.

dude, jersey, that is hilarious!
I am getting really fired up for this game - I don't think there is a match-up on the schedule that I care about more...This needs to be a W - JTIII shouldn't have a problem firing up the cadets before this one...come on Hoyas!!!!

I have never been as fired up for a game that I'm not playing in as I have been over the past month with these league games. BC is a huge game. I am sure that JT3 has something up his sleeve.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's ridiculously fired up. I can't wait-I keep picturing Ashanti and Owens doing the jumping chest bump that Sumpter and Ray did against Kansas (obviously celebrating how many shots they're making). I'm trying to manage my own expectations ala JT and be realistic, but it's really hard considering how much I want this win.

I'm also really pumped for this game. Its strange, I' havent been this excited about a game in a long time. Good omen? By the way I also have a strong feeling that we are gonna win. More sure about this game than I a, about the Saint Johns game

i really like barker davis and his writing style, but there is no doubt he checks this board and gets some of his info from it...his columns/articles have certain facts that are definitely lifted from here - which is awesome - this board has been the genesis of many, many great things...
also, just reading brandon's quotes, as well as all the young men, i am continuously impressed with how insightful they are ... just something i was thinking about.

I'm monstrously excited for this game. A truly huge game by any definition. Win and we're 6-2 in the Big East and really have to do no better than .500 the rest of the way to earn a ticket to the dance. Lose and we still have a ton of work to do. Not to mention the satisfaction of booting Brutus College out of the Big East. Please win, Hoyas.

I too am monstrously excited. How monstrously excited? - you ask. I am so monstrously excited that I have gotten together a group of Hoyas studying in St. Petersburg, Russia to listen to the game.

Wow! International meetups! I wonder if a similar thing is playing out in Tanzania, Tokyo, and the like.

How is the ESPN Fullcourt online? I am in Madrid, so I'm either going to pay the 15 bucks to watch online or just listen on the radio, depending on the video quality.

I can't believe how this team has energized people. This is great. The true test will be when gangs start wearing G'town gear again.
