That's what I get for giving Marquis any credit whatsoever.
Former, you never should have abandoned Marquis as your least favorite Cub, and I never should have been silly enough to think he could out-pitch Todd freakin Wellemeyer. After all, it's not April anymore, so his season is over.

I still dislike Soriano more than Marquis**
** (only because I have to stick with my people ... and I can't root for Ryan Braun since he's a Brewer)

I think Jack is trying to convert me. He must know I'm on a project in New England. I think he'd have more luck if he offered free tickets.

4 home runs, including one to Bako?
Maybe it wasn't Hill, maybe it was a cursed rotation spot.
I'm always looking to curses to explain my problems. I wonder which witch in my office cursed the Krispy Kremes in the kitchen forcing me to eat 6 of them?

So what? Just write this one off. The Dodgers were losing 12-0 last I saw. Every team has games like this occasionally. I would rather lose one like this than keep losing 1-0 or 2-0 every night (I'm talking to you, Ozzie).

Lee hits a homer and Lilly doesn't lose his after giving up an early one. All in all, pretty good day.

The pouring rain in Chicago hasn't resulted in a game cancellation (yet), but it has resulted in my mom getting a reprieve from being dragged to Wrigley Field for Mother's Day.

I'm just bummed we didn't get to see Zambrano's pink shoes and glove. Maybe he'll use them tonight ... breast cancer awareness isn't just a one-day thing, right?

Things have been going so well and now we need to find the one move worse than getting Steve Trachsel last year? We'll have a really easy most hated --- former will even have to change the thread name.

So the Cubs sign Edmonds and Z promptly beans him during batting practice. Cooler heads prevail until the next game when Edmonds misplays a fly ball, followed by a classic Z meltdown in which he walks in a run. After the inning mercifully ends Z and Edmonds go at it on the field, spilling into the dugout and then into the clubhouse. Then Z will say everything is cool and that it was all his fault, followed by the club waiving Edmonds.
Why don't we just avoid this scenario.

Maybe this is Hendry's way of getting us ok with him bringing back Jock instead.

Unrelated to today's horribleness...
Shawn Estes tonight? Really? This might be Marquis' last best chance for a W.

Can you Cub fans explain why this has occurred? I don't understand this at all. I love Edmonds, but he's done.
Also, I see no reason why he should be anyone's least favorite Cub. It's not his fault that the Cubs chose to sign him, and I'm sure he'll try to do his best (as he always has) - he just doesn't have it any more. He's not a fat tub of lard who mocks the fans and hits .050 with men in scoring position, like Andruw Jones.

See: tips, frosted See also: playing shallow center so as to make routine catches into "Web Gems" See finally: Cardinal for life. Edmonds was my least favorite Major Leaguer before this nonsense. No reason to change now.

This year vs. righties: .192/.286/.247 Last year vs. righties: .268/.336/.419 Felix Pie vs righties so far this year: .245/.317/.321 Reed Johnson vs. righties this year: .266/.327/.380
