Damn! If I had thanked WBH instead of Dan, I might have been able to get some of Mrs. WBH's fresh-baked cookies as part of the deal!
;D ;D
Allow me to revise my earlier comments. Thank you to all of the Admins for everything you do - most recently, ridding us all of that troublesome priest!

That is what I am debating. His "attitude" is a strength not a weakness. He DOESN'T have a selfish attitude at all. He symbolizes our whole team. All year Noah and the rest are more interested in the team's success. They want to make the extra pass. They want to see another teammate make a big shot. They deflect any attention away from themselves not towards it. Don't take my word for it. You haven't yet and I have told you all this a half dozen times. Go read the Sports Illustrated article in January about Noah and the team. It says flat out that they tried to do the article twice before but Noah kept turning them down because "this ain't about me" ... "it's all about the team." Finally SI went through the Athletic Association to get the article, but Noah insisted that they print the fact that he didn't want to do the article in the first place.
He was an integral part of the team that beat you and you don't like that. I understand that makes you upset. You want to pick on him because of his hair or the like .... fine, immature but fine. But you want to try and rag him for his attitude??? Totally off base. You try to convince yourself that you wouldn't want him on your team ... ridiculous. He doesn't have an attitude and would be a positive influence on any team. We have had our share of trouble makers, prima donas and just generally rotten kids. Joakim is none of the above.

funny Madge - that's a good description
Anyways, hifigator, a guy who screams after every rebound/shot, beats his chest (the gesture that inarguably says "ME!") and calls his own game "sexy", admits to being selfish when it came to his lack of playing time earlier in his career because he was not "the man anymore" should not be praised because he has a couple of quotes saying that he is about the team. also, can we stop talking about this guy now that i've put my 2 cents out?

I can't believe that you are all this dumb. Georgetown is supposed to be some school for smart people the last I heard. Seriously, maybe you just aren't paying attention. Or maybe there is just no way to see anything through your Grey and Blue goggles. If you want to call him flamboyant ... fine. But cocky or selfish or the like is just simply false. It isn't one or two quotes about the team. That team attitude IS the team. That is why you can take essentially the same guys that we had last year without 3 guys who have spent time in the NBA already and go from a one and done March madness to a final four team and National Title contender. I guess you all just don't see that since you don't follow Florida. That's not your fault. Except for your victory over Duke and one Big East tourny game, I don't think I saw you all play until our matchup. I certainly can't comment accurately on your team's attitude from that one game. I could say that Hibbert is lazy and takes time off. That could be supported from clips from the game. But more likely he was dead dog tired. Noah is emotional, no doubt about it. But his actions are spontaneous and fleeting. He is excited for a brief instant and then it is back to "work." In a sense it is like the difference between jumping up after a touchdown and spiking the ball as opposed to running over to the uprights and pulling out a cell phone. Does that make it any clearer for you guys? You are flat out wrong if you say that Noah has a selfish attitude and is interested in drawing attention to himself. The opposite is true.

Who cares? When I see Noah play, I see a performer, both with his basketball skills and his play to the crowd attitude. I guess it comes off as a little "it's all about me" at times, but I don't think he is outright selfish. His style doesn't fit with Georgetown's offense, but I think his skill set would. I don't seem him being a dominant NBA player, but I'll think he'll be productive.
In any event, we need to look forward. We were a missed 3-point shot away from the Elite Eight. Owens knocks that shot down, no one is talking about Noah. We need to look ahead to making sure next year we march to the Final Four.

I have an idea...Why don't all of you gator fans gather your "orange and blue tinted glasses" and head on back over to your own board and discuss important things like what color shorts Urban Meyer is going to wear the first day of spring practice...Or maybe you can get back to discussing "lancing Hoyas off of your backside" If you smell what the sock is cookin'!!!!!

Gee if anyone here wasn't rooting for Mason before, I can't see why they wouldn't now.

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone was worked up over Candace Parker dunking the basketball but not Joe-Kim Noah.

I just didn't want to see him lumped into the attention grabbing and selfish group of prima-dona athletes. The Lord knows we have too many of them out there already. Joakim is nothing but an emotional team player totally. Notice how I took the blame for misinterpreting your complaints rather than suggesting that you were all standing in a circle Editeding down each others backs talking about the rain....
