Let's hope it's more of a timing issue.

We definitely still need to add that defense/rebounding grown man center. But even just with Epps, Mack, Peavy, Burks, and Fielder as one potential rotation we are much better than last year I would think. Obviously that's not even counting the frosh and Cu Williams.

We have a clear need and prime opportunity for an experienced big man. Immediate minutes and a huge role. And presumably we have the $ we allocated for Cliff. There has to be someone of quality that fits the bill.

That is strange - hopefully it's not too disruptive. Need to finish out this campaign strong.

Khani Rooths just decommitted. I don't recall if we were linked with him.

The NCAA selection committee is a joke. Unreal inconsistency, stupidity, and lack of transparency. Hard not to think politics is at play.

Fielder is a keeper. A pick and pop big who can also take it to the basket - that's exactly what you need these days. And on top of it seems to really care, so I am sure he will continue to develop and get stronger. Definitely one of the things that has me positive about the future.

Meyer was on St. John's radar at one point. Looks like he had a good year.

Whatever numbers Sorber puts up in this tourney are irrelevant. He's already proven himself to be a high level recruit and a great fit for what we need going forward.

Johnnies will be incentivized to run up the score - both for NET metric purposes, and also making a psychological impression on the selection committee. I just want our guys to show some fight and pride.

Another painful loss, but agree it was a good postgame presser. I thought Cooley struck the right tone. Not overly sales-y, but positive in a more authentic way. His resolve was there.
Had high praise for Fielder. I didn't know he had been battling knee issues? Is that news? Anyway, he said Fielder was as healthy as he has been all year. Hopefully not a long-term issue for him.

That's fair, but again I think the lack of interior presence is the key factor.
At a minimun I would just like to have a five that we can go to when we really need stops, even if we give up something on O for those possessions....e.g. end of games where maybe we have a lead, or when a particular guy on the other team is killing us. We never had that this year. With 7-8 newcomers next year there has to be some combo that can do that...and I'm assuming we are recruiting for that.
