Read your rules....or more to the point your rule viz. tiebreaker "a" again and again as many times as it takes for you to understand what it says and means. I see that you’re trying to make it about me. It’s not my rules; it’s the same rules, as amended, from the beginning and I didn’t start the game. By "your" rules I meant you as the administrator. It's nothing personal about you except to the extent that you are not understanding the rule and thereby applying it correctly.

#1) That's not the point
#2) I will not participate in a contest which does not abide by its own rules

Margin of victory in Marquette game was 9. NJ Hoya was closest at 8. By the rules he should have won.

prhoya:
I continue to be unable to make you see my point. I did not say I was closest to Butler's score. I said I got the margin of victory exactly (which I did). Notwithstanding what C2C might have said to you, margin of victory is, in fact, the first tie breaker right now as written. I think it is the criterion most would expect to see used for this purpose. You are getting needlessly bogged down in arcane formulae which are not any reflection of an ability to pick the game and unnecessarily muddy the waters when you have a universally accepted standard (margin of victory) not only available but on the books. Please, I implore you to go back and read the tie breakers yourself, critically. "a" is margin of victory or defeat: period. Not only should margin of victory be the first tie breaker; it IS the first tie breaker.
Thank you
p.s. In my opinion second tiebreaker "b" should be combined score. No slide rule required.

OK. No drama. In prhoya's world "actual margin of victory or defeat" means something other than "actual margin of victory or defeat". This, I think, is the explanation for the confusion of so many. I look forward to his explanation of that to you. Res, apparently, non ipsa loquitur.

Does "recruited" mean receiving a D1 scholarship?

I have been in executive session with prhoya. He said he will explain how he applies judging criteria later tonight so I will not presume to pre-empt him. Suffice it to say I think you may be surprised. I certainly was. He is open to amending the rules (or their interpretation). I think "many people" may want to do that.
In any case I am sure we are all grateful for his volunteer efforts.

Did anyone hear III doing analysis on the Temple-Tulane game? What did you think?

OK I looked at it. First tie breaker (a) is closest to actual margin of (in this case) defeat.

whitegamehats picks Butler by 12. augustusfinknottle picks Butler by 2. Butler wins by 2. whitegamehats wins. Please refer me to the judging criteria. Thank you.

We did exceed expectations. We were a 4 point dog and lost by 2. Awesome. No Gordon Haywards on that Butler team.

No box out whatsoever on buzzer tip in. Ewing being found wanting in end game situations was not only predictable but predicted. Look for more of the same. The team is playing with heart and energy which has not been the case in a long time. Not a fan of Blair, period; clueless on fundamentals.

If the "dismissed from Georgetown" report is accurate, this is bigger than being dismissed from the program and was an institutional rather than a team decision. Coach Ewing's opinion may or may not have Ben a determining factor.
