Gotta land Cliff. He's exactly what we need.

I want to win. In the current landscape, I don't see how it makes any sense to sacrifice winning now for developing young talent. There's a very high chance any young talent you develop is just going to leave in the offseason for a better $ offer.

The idea that Trez didn't "fit in" to next year's roster is cope. I'd bet he's heading to a significantly better program. It's a bad loss for a program desperate for any continuity. He was probably our best player this year. So he's going to a Final Four team. And our spin is that there weren't enough minutes for him on our 2-18 roster. lol

Feels like we're running in place. Hope I'm wrong.

I didn't spend much time in here this season, so I hadn't realized there was this much of a Anti-Cooley sentiment. already??? wow lol. I'd say that 2-18 was a worse result than even the major pessimists expected. So that has a lot to do with it.

The truth is we aren’t just one of the worst teams in the big East, we are at the bottom of teams in the country, we are going to have to overpay initially to get some talent here. As I said I liked Rowan and think he will be a really good college player. The fact he left makes me think Cooley had a sure player to fit into that starting spot, the fact we haven’t signed the PG yet.”, worries me. You don’t let Rowan go unless there is a sure fire upgrade ready to sign. Why do we think we "let Rowan go"? Seems like spin. He's being aggressively recruited by 30 programs better than ours right now. He's moving up.

Has the same feel as any of the other failed offseasons so far. Hopefully it's a different result.

This is going to be a rebuild through HS recruiting. Constant recycling of transfer portal players can't be the answer. 85-90% of college players will never make money playing ball after college. So they need to make all they can during their 4 years. Coaches will never be able to count on having a kid for more than a year at the time, so unless you can get big time freshman contributors, or have enough $$ to outbid other schools for your own players, you can't count on high school recruiting as your business model. The sport needs to bring back and enforce a 1 year redshirt for transfers. It's destroying college basketball and it's doing so very quickly.

So the season was a complete waste on a development front, while also squandering any positive momentum from hiring a new coach. Awesome.

The program has won 4 games in the last 3 years. Let's not blame the 15 fans they have left.

Rich Pitino is taking SJU to the dance, while we went 2-18. It's not great.

This season, just like the last several, has been an abject embarrassment to the university, its students, and its alumni.

Might be time to just admit this program is DEAD dead. To be fair, 98% of the former fanbase is already there.

My expectations for this season were low. I wanted to look like a real basketball team, to compete, and to be in the mix for 8th or 9th place in the conference.
We've failed by every measure.

This season is a complete disaster. Significantly worse than my worst fears.

It's really frustrating that SJU is a tournament team immediately, and we're still a dumpster fire. And I am 100% certain we would not be with their coach, who wanted to come here.
