Sorry but the longer I let this transfer sink in the more concerned I am. You really think this team is better without Ike? C'mon this is still the same guy who put up 32 last year against Marquette. Sure he's stunk up the joint lately but it is a long BE season coming up. Just like you can't have enough pitching in baseball you can't have enough 6'9" guys who can score and rebound in basket ball. What if MD or Agaao get hurt or early foul trouble? At least throwing Ike in would make opponents have to adjust and concern themselves with him. Sorry, we may have ben able to live without White but losing Ike too will hurt. And next year? No Pryor and probably no Peak. I see us floundering like we did when Otto left and Whit imploded. We aren't UNC or Kentucky or Duke. We don't have blue chippers lined up to replace key players when they transfer, go to the NBA or graduate. Unless we get very lucky and guys like Mourning, Johnson, and Campbell drastically improve (and we get a stud big man next year) we will be very thin this year and a disaster next. Agree, only if Ike was not happy and affecting team chemistry. We've gone from the deepest team under JT3 in September to losing two of its highest ranked recruits, "most improved Kaleb" hurt, Trey not used, Cameron under a question mark, inconsistencies from our 3 PGs, and obviously JT3 feeling the heat, having the worst start record since '72, and having to run Pryor and Peak to the ground (ave. 32 mins) - I wonder what that number would be if we take away Coppin St and USC... Who would have predicted two players averaging over 32 mins this year? JT3 needs to win and now because his team is in a position that each game looks like a must-win. He is going to run his 2 best players and hope that the others catch up as the season heads to March. Hopefully they don't get hurt and tire towards the end of the season when others are able to help. Plus/minus for tonight's game, courtesy of the play-by-play at guhoyas.com: vs ark st Pryor +10, Peak +2, Johnson -1, Mosely -1, Copeland -4, Agau -5, Govan -5, Campbell -11, Mulmore -15, Cameron DNP/leave of absence, Derrickson DNP/injured, Hayes DNP/suspended, Hines DNP/coach's decision, Mourning DNP/coach's decision, Muresan DNP/coach's decision. If you take out Copeland from that game, do we beat Ark state? Certainly possible.

Per Washington Post, Ike is transferring at the end of the semester. Obviously reading too much hoyatalk.

I don't understand the pressing when Elon crosses half court, they are making us pay every time. I don't understand how teams make the same exact 3 passes every time to beat our press to get a fast break. Every time. Over and over.

I guess when jt3 said we were gonna run more this year he meant get run out of the gym. Why just lose when you can lose by 30!

Remember the good ole days when we just sucked in the NCAAs. You're still watching? You, masochist, you... Still stewing. Not really watching

I know we have Tremont coming in, but can we get a classic scrappy, short, white guard like Forte who keeps everything and everyone together and competing? Remember Matt Causey? The closest Georgetown had to that type of player. IIRC, he transferred to Georgia Tech? He sucked. No better after he transferred

How good is Howard? Asking for a friend who is a season ticket holder... About 10 points better than us

I can think of no greater indictment of the state of this program than the fact that I just don't want to watch anymore. Not just this game. At all. It's awful on both ends and everywhere in between.

Copeland needs to sit. Has demonstrated zero improvement in any category. Takes the ball to the hoop like he's afraid to get hurt. Guess what Cope? You ain't getting drafted if you keep getting blocked going up for lay ups. Where is the explosion? That's not even to mention his handle. Guy needs a sit down. If his confidence is that fragile, then that's his problem. Shouldn't be the team's problem. He is hurting the team right now in multiple ways.

That sucked. Crushing loss. However, this is on the guards not making smart decisions, not on JTIII's management. The refs also screwed us toward the end of the game with those holding calls. That being said, I think that Maryland got called for some questionable foul calls. We did a good job of attacking, but the refs did bail us out multiple times. I'm stunned, but I'm trying to get myself to think about the long term and how the team has the potential to bounce back in Maui. (I do think JTIII should have kept Jagan in the game for much longer. Moreover, Marcus/Akoy should have in there instead of Jessie.) If anyone cares, I think his strategy was to keep his best FT shooters in the game which, if they hadn't have turned the ball over, probably would have been a good strategy.

Out coached? Not sure you can use that here. 2 dead ball fouls and a travel in 1 sec of game time. DRibbling ball off leg up 9 with 38 to go. Sometimes it's the players fault.
